Advanced Training

~Kara's POV~

It was only a dream made up in my mind I thought to myself realizing I'm still in my little home in the woods. Were the people in my dreams made up? There was no sign of my parents in here, so I decided to check outside where the soft snow sticks to the ground creating a nice cold, soft fluffy bed.

"Mom is that you, Did you come back?" I questioned seeing my mother walk further away from me as I began to pick up my pace. "Mother I missed you so much" I began running after her, but the closer I got to her the further she became.

"MOTHER!!!" The world around me started turning black, which then led to the ground caving in taking me along with it.

"MOTHER!!" I shot straight up, looking around to see the people in their white lab coats. My forehead was covered with sweat as my chest heaved rapidly with heavy panting.

It was only a dream, but not even a dream more like a nightmare. Recalled images flashed through my head all at one time. I don't think I'd ever be able to sleep after this. What if it's worse the next time?

"Kara sweetie, are you alright" One of the Lab ladies said, but I never remember her name. Tears flowed down my face until I realized I was late for training.

"Oh no I'm late!" I grabbed my bag and dashed out of the room. I could here her yell for me to take it easy, but I ignored her and continued.

"I'M HERE!" I yelled, bursting through the doors. Everyone looked at me, but it seemed they were just getting started.

"We're just finding partners all that's left is Kimizuki, Yuichiro, and Hajime" Yuu and I exchanged looks right before he started running at me.

"KARAAAA!" Before he even got close I partnered up with Hajime quickly leaving him to work with Kimizuki. "Beats being friends" Yuu mumbled under his breath.

"I guess Kara and I found great partners" Shinoa chimed in clinging onto Yoichi.

"Now that everyone has found a partner you are now bounded by these handcuffs" Ms. Sayuri explained.

"Teamwork defeats the dummy" She said, before the dummies were released and started punching around.

Hajime and I cooperated smoothly we haven't made a mistake as of yet, but Yuu and Kimizuki seemed to be getting points deducted by the second.

"Sorry to interrupt, but is Kimizuki here?" Some guy ran in asking for Kimizuki. Everyone had stopped at once to see what was so urgent. "Come quick your sisters condition is critical" Kimizuki didn't seem to want to leave to check on her. He simply told Yuu to focus on the dummy, but Yuu knocked some sense into him forcing him to go see her.

After those two headed out I was told to report to Lt. Colonel Gurren for what must be time for my personal training.

If I want my father's sword back I have no other choice, but to train as hard as I can to impress Gurren.

My eyes widened when I saw Kureto instead of Gurren and there were three vampire chained up to a scythe, he ordered me to kill them since they failed to become demons.

"What are you waiting for?" He asked impatiently.

"I-I... I can't kill them" My eyes started to water, but I had to prevent myself from crying and mostly because Kureto would've seen. He's not as gently or understanding as Gurren could be.

"You will be outside of these walls killing more of them than ever before. You've come so far to turn back now and you will fight wether you like it or not meaning I wouldn't mind forcing you" He held up a collar like device smirking at me.
