The Forbidden ~ Rene X Kara

First Day

~Kara's POV~

"Come on Yuu" He's been standing in the mirror for 15 minutes posing differently while flexing whatever muscles he does not have.

"What's the rush?" He asked.

"We can't be late on the first day" Grabbing him by his arm, I started dragging him forcefully to class.

Not too far from class Yuu accidentally bumped into some orange haired guy.

"Hey" Yuu said, stopping in front of him.

"You bumped into me" He said, furrowing his brows. "Do you want to fight!?"

I sighed, knowing what was about to happen, after we made it this far I can only hope Yuu's actions don't ruin this for us.

"Bring it on!" After 10 minutes of their little brawl, Yuu's face was bruised a bit after they both separated heading in the opposite directions.

Yuu and I continued to class only to be joined by Yoichi half way.

"Hyakuya, What happened to your face?" He asked looking concerned.

"I ran into a telephone pole " He replied in a toneless voice. Seems to me Yuu has finally met his match, no wonder.

There was a sign that read: MOON DEMON SQUAD MILITARY QUARTERS

"you're late" We turned around to see none other than Shinoa.

"What are you doing here?"

"Yuu your face, is this a punishment I hear?" She asked, taunting him.

"I haven't been fighting I swear!" Yuu said, throwing his hands up in the air.

"Come on you guys are late already" Shinoa led us the rest of the way to class. When we walked in I saw Lt. Colonel Gurren standing up at a podium facing the class.

"Listen up everyone; starting today I'm your homeroom teacher due to the three new transfer students!" Gurren said to the class.

"Hyakuya Yuuichiro, Saotome Yoichi, and Okami Kara...." He introduce us to the class, although I was shocked that he gave me a last name it was least expected. "To put it another way an idiot, coward, and a quiet sweet little beast" Gurren mentioned, seeing that Yuu was getting irritated as he waved us off to sit down.

"Listen up everyone I'm not here to make friends with any of you!" Yuu announced slamming his fist against the board as I took a seat in the 2nd row to the back next to Shinoa. "I don't know what you losers have been learning, but the best weapon will be mine!" He continued.

"That is all"

"That's not all" Gurren kicked Yuu across the classroom."Didn't you learn anything at your old school? Team work is key"

"Idiot! Scum! Cherry Boy!"

"What does this have to do with my virginity!" Yuu moved to attack Gurren once more only to have Gurren's foot resting on his face. The rest of the class just talked about how crazy Yuu was and the great things Gurren did with his squad like getting back Shinjuku.

"Sit down in the seat in front of Kimizuki" Gurren said, pointing to an empty seat next to some guy who was asleep with a book on his face.

"Hey you, take your feet down this is my seat" Yuu started. Just for once in his life if he could not start trouble is all that I ask of.

"What! Is class over?!" Kimizuki asks, lifting the book up a bit. "Hey aren't you the telephone pole from this morning?! What are you doing here?!"

And the brawling began yet once again, but this time to make sure it be the last for the day.

"Cut it out you two!" I went up to them kicking the two boys unconscious in a humanly manner being sure to control my strength at the same time.

"Don't worry about them two we wouldn't have been able to continue class if they were awake" Gurren assured the class that they were fine."Thank you Kara" Taking my seat again as the lesson continued I could here others around me whisper.

"Wow she's amazing, maybe that's why he referred to her as a beast"

"I know that kick was amazing, she must have trained to be a fighter"

Gurren continued to talk about the test we had to take a test soon and we had to train hard for what's coming next.

"Starting tomorrow Sayuri will be testing your abilities, if you don't qualify then you will not be able to test next week simple" Gurren dismissed everyone after that just as Kimizuki and Yuu woke right up.

"class is over already!" Yuu shouted. "so much of a first day" He said leaving the class bickering with Kimizuki on how it was his fault he missed a lesson. Just as I was about to leave Gurren called me to stay behind and talk to me about something.

"Tomorrow you will be tested on your teamwork, but after that is over with I personally will test your physical abilities if you want this back" He held up my father's sword.

"How?!" I asked in disbelief.

"I have my ways" He said, proudly. "Since you don't need a enchanted sword, then you will have your own private training not following the other students I took it upon myself and already made you a schedule" It was the last thing he explained to me before shooing me off to my check up.

Everytime I come here for a check up they take my blood, but this time was different they gave me a pill to take. I didn't bother to ask what it was, nor did they really go into to detail. It was only said that Gurren wants me to test this new medication.

"You may expiernce dizziness or even a black out, but you will be fine this is only your first time taking this" One of the nurse ladies explained. It's a new substance in my body, so I do have an understanding of my reaction to it being different than that of a human.

Moments later after taking the medicine for the first time I started feeling a bit weaker followed by the symptoms mentioned. I wanted to move and walk to my room, but I couldn't the more I thought about moving the heavier my body became making it almost impossible in my state. Everything started to blur slowly my vision was consumed by darkness.
