chapter 20: tough decisions.

Colby's POV:

I punched Heath in the face, knocking him out. Why did I?  I'm not sure.. I think I'm jealous? that could be it

"Colby why did you do that?!" nary sceerched at me, causing me to frown.

"I-I - I-I. .. I don't know why.. I guess I am jealous. " i said rubbing the back of my neck. She just looked at me. "Why are you jealous? " she smiles softly. not sure if she was being nice or she liked me.

Michaela walked out of the bedroom and laughed that Heath was on the floor "Aye, who knocked him out?" she said.

I raise my hand. "I did." I look over at Michaela and she has a smirk plastered on her face.

** Time skip **

I ended up leaving Mary's place, and went home to film for my YT channel.

I called over Brennen so we could do a bit of filming together, and then go to Nike place or even Bradlee's..

phone conversation:
(Colbs🐨 = Colby // Brenn🐶 = Brennen)

Colbs🐨: Hey,  brotha!!

Brenn🐶: Hey,  dad! what's up?

Colbs🐨: nothing much, wanted to hang out. wanna film today?

Brenn🐶: sure be over in a few moments, or you could meet me at Tender Greens, whichever you wanna do, brotha!

Colbs🐨: if you want, come over. and then we will either take my car or yours, doesn't matter to me. I have news to tell you.

brenn🐶: alright, I will be over soon. tell me when I get there,I wanna hear it in person and I wanna have a surprise for a reaction.  plus, I'm locking the house up now; cause now I'm leaving and I'd rather not drop my phone.

colbs🐨: alright,  well I will see you soon, brotha!

Brenn🐶: See ya soon dad.

** phone hangs up **

I was sitting in my room, when Brennen came barging in. "Hey,  daddy!" He yells, as soon as he sees me. "Yo,Brennen!" I say not looking at him.

Brennen sits on the couch behind me, and throws a pillow at me. I sigh, turning around. "What's up, brotha?" I say looking at Brennen. "nothing to much, brotha.  Maggie and I kinda broke up." he said playing with his rings.

I get up off of the car and walk over to where he's sitting. I sit down, placing my hand on his shoulder.  "Why,  buddy?" I asked looking at him. he looks over at me and sighs. "Because she got tired of all the skits and stuff, she wants someone who isn't just gonna pretend something and not gonna be honest with people. So she left me." brennen says, looking down at the floor.

"She loved you though, didn't she?? everytime you guys' were together, you two seemed so happy and in love." I finally say to him. "Anyways,  before we both cry, wanna do our video?"Brennen nods.

** After filming **

"so you knocked buddy out,  why?" Brennen said, as we sat down eating at the table.

"Because,  I guess I am jealous of Heath. Mary's perfect. she is everything I haven't wanted in a girl, and yet she's taken." I said, shoving a fry into my mouth and chewing. "Well if you wanted to ne with her, make her fall for you..it's easy for people to fall for you, just look at all these teenage girls that want all of us, cause we are Internet famous." Brennen finally said, shoving more steak into his mouth.

"Ya that could work. but I don't know if i wanna ruin a relationship. they are supposed to get married soon." I said,  taking a sip of my drink.

"Ya I know. I heard about it through David's vlog" he said, as I just looked at him with a weird look plastered over my face.

"Here." Brennen said, showing me his phone as it played David's vlog.

near the end David mentions the engagement.  "So, hey, guys. I know I usually pull pranks and such. but I have some good news. you guys' remember Heath right? well if you know Heath, you klthen know about him and Mary. . . they're getting married !!! June 2nd, 2018." David says as his vlog comes to an end. my stomach dies flips, causing me to feel sick.

I pass Brennen his phone back. "ohhhh" I sighed, looking down and the floor.

Brennen puts his hand on my shoulder. "brotha, I have never seen you like this. you must really care." he says finishing his food.

I just nod. I dint finish my food, as I get up and walk away. I pull my phone out and send Brennen money for the food. before I walk outside, I text him to pay for my share and keep the rest, along with getting my food out into a doggy bag. I just sat on the step.

Mary's POV:

After Colby left, I made sure Heath was breathing and placed a ice pack on his eye,  so that his black eye wouldn't be as swollen.

After I made Colby leave, I kinda felt like he cared.. I have been in this situation before, however I have never been someone's fiance and had this happen. So I walk over to the couch and sit down.  While Heath laid down on the ground.

Michaela sits beside me. "Aren't you gonna pick him help??" She asks smirking a little. "We all know that I couldn't lift him up to the couch, even if I wanted to. So he will have to stay down there." I aid, running my fingers through my hair.

After what seemed like hours, Heath finally woke up. However he wasn't mad at all. "Why did he hit me? We used to be best friends,  and now he hit me for no reason?" Heath said, rubbing his eye.

I just shook my head, saying no  "I don't know why he hit you, I just know he did. He left after he hit you, besides that,he didn't say why." I said, as I checked my phone.

** Time skip **

It's been 24 hrs since Colby hit Heath . Heath went home after awhile,  we didn't really talk much. I guess I was just wondering about Colby and Heath.

I got up from my bed and smiled softly at the bright light outside. Zachary comes running in. "Mom!" He yells at me,  hugging my hip. "Yes sweetie?" I say,looking down at him. "Colby" is all he said, he let go of my hip and darted outside of my room.

Once I walked into the kitchen,  I seen Colby standing by the sink smiling soflty.  "Hey, princess" he says.

"Hey, Colby." I say, replacing the smile on my face with a frown. 

Colby clears his throat. "Mary, I think I might be in love with you. I hate seeing you with heath, it hurts me. I want you. " Colby says, stepping away from the sink and making his way towards me.

As he reaches me, he places his hand on my cheek. "C-colby... I don't know what to do... I care about you, but I'm getting married to Heath. I can't." I walk away into my room.

I sit down on my bed, as soon as I do, I get a text from heath.

Heath💕: Hey baby.  I miss you. I will be over later today to see your beautiful face.

Mary👑: Hey.... listen, I don't think I can do this.. yes, we have been together for 2 years now, even though it doesn't seem like it. I'm in a difficult time in my life, and need to think about us.

Heath💕: does this have to do with that fucking idiot,  Colby? Of so, he doesn't love you. He does it to ruin relationships and than when the people leave their spouse for him, he won't date them. He's a fuck boy baby. But if you're getting cold feet about the wedding, we can take a break. However I don't want anyone to know. Play princess?  💙

Mary👑: Sounds good Heath. I'm so glad that uoure so understanding. 💙 I truly love you. Thank you for understanding my needs. I won't let no one know.  I can't see this lasting long.. I can never seem to stay away from you for long.

After I text Heath, I say fuck it and go to work.
