Anastasia POV
"You know, if I knew I was gonna get my ass kicked, repeatedly might I add, for this, I wouldn't have come," I groaned out as I laid there on the ground, staring at the sky.
A hand soon came in front of my line of vision. Grunting, I accepted the hand, letting them pull me up. Stretching my sore muscles, I stared into a pair of breathtaking green eyes.
"Then, why did you decide to show up?" Lexa panted, looking at my face.
I smirked cockily, giving her a once over.
"And miss that beautiful face plus that rocking body being close to mine?" I shot her a wink. "Every bruises are worth it, sweetheart."
Next thing I knew, Lexa twisted my arm and flipped me over. World going upside down, I groaned as my body slammed onto the ground once again, coughing as dust settled into my lungs and around me.
"Yeah, I deserve that," I croaked out.
"What have I told you?" Lexa playfully smiled at me. "Don't call me that."
Licking my lips, I swept my leg underneath Lexa's causing her to fall to the ground with me. Not wasting anymore time, I took action and pounced on top of her. Straddling her stomach, I pinned both of her wrists above her head as I whipped out a knife from her boot, a place I knew she hides her knife. There, I placed the edge of the knife underneath her chin, letting the cold metal touch her skin but not cut any skin.
Both panting, I stared into her eyes as my curly hair draped over our faces.
"Dead," I chuckled.
"Very good," Lexa panted, eyes darting across my face. "You are learning fast."
I just shrugged my shoulders as I took the knife away from her neck, sitting straight up as I continued to sit ontop of her. I smirked when I noticed her rosy cheeks adoring her face from our position.
"What can I say," I grunted as I got back to my feet, offering my hand towards Lexa. "I'm a fast learner."
Helping her back onto her feet, Lexa slapped me upside the head.
"Ow," I pouted, touching my head.
Lexa snatched the blade from my hand and then kick me to my knees. Grabbing one of my arms, she placed it behind my back. She then proceeded to place the knife underneath my chin, just like I did to her.
"And yet, you can't learn to not let your arrogance consume you."
Quickly, I threw my head back, hitting Lexa square in the stomach. Grabbing the arm that was holding the knife, I lurched her forward, causing her to flip in front of my before landing harshly on the ground. Pressing my knee on her arm to release the blade, I pressed my other knee on her chest, causing her not to move at all.
"You love my arrogance, admit it," I whispered in her face. "You find it enduring."
My mistake was to forget about restraining her leg as I saw the gleam in her eye, which never ends good for me. Raising both of her legs, she wrapped it around my neck. Punching her calves to let me go as I couldn't breathe, Lexa gave out a scream as she twisted her body at an angle, causing the momentum to toss my body to her side, back on the ground once again. Lexa then proceeded to place her knee against my throat, causing me to choke from the restriction.
Struggling to get her off of me, I finally gave up as I patted her side frantically, a signal that we both came up to back off. Once the pressure was off, I quickly took in gulps of air, holding onto my throat as if that would relieve the pain.
