The whole crew rushed to Ezra's side.
"Ezra! How are you?", Hera asked worried,"you should be resting".
"I've been worse, Hera", he answered trying to calm momma Hera down but failed,"So... were's my shirt.".
"It's in the laundry right now", the overprotective mother figure simply answered.
The whole crew was silent now.
"Why? Why didn't you told us?", Kanan asked.
"What do you mean? The wound or... the scars?", the young padawan asked.
"Both"
Silence.
"I-I didn't tell you about these things because...I...I... arghhh.
I don't even know", he started,
"On the streets life was hard. You couldn't trust other people.
The person I most trusted had to leave Lothal...
Bad thinks happened. Mostly to me", he took a deep breath,
"Every time, I got wounded I had to deal with it by myself.
I stitched me up so many times. Even without painkillers."The whole crew was shocked.
Not just shocked...
They were terrified.
"I didn't think the wound was that important", the teenager said.
"How could you just think that? Of course it IS important", Zeb said and Hera almost fainted.
"Please Ezra, promise us that you will tell us next time if you are injured", Kanan pleaded.
"Only if you promise that you won't go into the Overprotective Parents-Mode", Ezra begged.
"We'll try", The twi'lek and the Jedi said in common.
"Okay, I promise tell you next time", the padawan sighed.
"What about... your scars? How did you get them?", Zeb asked.
Ezra looked down while Hera gave the lassat a death glare.
"I don't wanna talk about them...", the blue haired kid mumbled.
"...and you don't have to", Sabine cut him off putting a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Maybe another time", Ezra said still looking to the floor,
"I just need some time..."
Hera stood up.
"Ezra, we love you. Take as much time as you need and remember we will always help you if you need it", she said caring.
"Yeah, we are a family. And we'll always be here for each other", Kanan said.
A lonely tear ran Ezra's face down.
"Thank you guys.", he said shakily, "Thank you for being my new family"
He started to let all his tears flow down.
He wasn't even embarrassed of the crew seeing him crying.
They are his new family.
He got immediately hugged tightly by his both parent figures.
Thereupon his two siblings joined the group hug.
Even Chopper tried to wrap his tiny arms around the boys feet to comfort his human bro.
After about 5 minutes Zeb broke the hug saying that he need a nap now.
He was followed by Chopper who already activated his electro shocker beeping evilly.
"What now?", Ezra asked.
"I'll go paint something", Sabine said and headed out of the room.
"I'll help you", Ezra said and also wanted to leave but was stopped by his master who put a hand on his shoulder.
"Are you sure that you are okay now", Kanan asked.
"Yeah, I am", the padawan answered.
"If you need someone to talk, I'm always here for you", Ezra's parent figure said.
"Thanks, dad", the young teenager immediately covered his mouth after he said that.
"No problem, son", Kanan answered and hugged him tightly not wanting to leave his son.
Not even with the force the two Jedi recognized that they were watched the whole time by Hera who shot a photo and enjoyed the cute father-son-scene.
