Rain On a Summer Day

Chapter 1

Summary: It's night and Jiraiya asks Tsunade to go with him on a summer vacation, Tsunade agrees.

Notes: This is my first fanfiction ever, please don't be too harsh on the comments! There will be more chapters coming up, but I don't have a update schedule set up so it really depends on my free time as I have not started serious fanfiction writing :P Thanks for reading -peace out-

Chapter 1:

Tsunade slipped off her signature green jacket and made her way to her bedroom within the Hokage tower. Just as her head touched her pillow, the window flew open and with it a warm night breeze. Annoyed, Tsunade rolled out of bed and went to swing the window paneling shut, but not before a dark shadow slipped in.

"Hello Hime" said a figure in the dark that moved forward from behind Tsunade to embrace her in his arms. Tsunade, seemingly out of instinct, shot her fist out behind her to grab Jiraiya and throw him onto the floor.

"What the hell Jiraiya?!" said Tsunade, as she was dead tired and not in the best of moods.

"Get out of my room!" Tsunade yelled with anger as Jiraiya stood up, rubbing his head. He sat down in one of the comfy chairs that decorated a large and spacious bedroom fit for Hokage.

"Hime. Tsunade. I know you probably want to kill me but I actually need to ask you something" Jiraiya said calmly. Tsunade sighed, and sat down on the corner of her bed and gestured with a hand for him to continue and just get it over with, so she could sleep.

"Well.. summer is arriving soon and I was going to go traveling at around that time, gathering information and such..." Jiraiya started.

"Did you really just wake me up in the middle of night to get permission to leave the village?" said Tsunade incredulously, "Even if I said no you would probably still go."

Jiraiya continued as if he hadn't heard Tsunade. "I'm going to the Land of Waves to get in contact with some of my spies and there is a new resort in the area that is having a special summer sale. I know that your super stressed out everyday so I want you to take a break from Hokage and go with me....." He trail off, keeping his gaze trained anywhere but the person in front of him.

"Ok" Tsunade said simply. Honestly she had planned to talk to the Council and take a short summer break herself, and now that Jiraiya was offering a free one and none the less in the Land of Waves she didn't think twice about her choice. Then again.. Jiraiya was a big pervert, but Tsunade was confident that she could handle it for one vacation.

"But if you try anything...." she said, releasing huge amounts of KI. Jiraiya quickly nodded his head.

"Ok ok" he said waving his hands in front of him, he was still shocked that Tsunade had agreed to his proposal. "i'll meet you at the front gates tomorrow. We'll leave after lunch, the next town isn't too far away. After Jiraiya left -through the window-, Tsunade finally returned to bed but she couldn't seem to fall asleep.

"am I excited about spending time with Jiraiya?" No. that couldn't be it, Jiraiya was just a womanizer that probably only asked her to come along to do some peeking, or just annoy the hell out of her. Even so, she couldn't stop a small smile grace her lips as she faded into sleep.
