Disclaimer: Of course, I still don't own Naruto or any of the characters.

Tsunade: That's a relief, I don't think I would trust someone like you with myself. Stareeeess...

Me: Aww, but Tsunadeeee T^T

Summary: Tsunade contemplates her feelings as she begins her travels with Jiraiya. Suddenly she is ambushed by an enemy ninja who lands a fatal blow on Tsunade. What's worse is there is not a hospital close by for miles in any direction!

Notes: Hyah! After completely forgetting about fanfiction for some time, I stumbled across this first attempt of mine during a lonely winter break! I'm not sure if I will continue writing, but who knows!

Chapter 2:

She gently tucks her dusty blonde locks behind her ear and lets out a tired sigh. Tsunade hadn't been able to get any sleep at all after her talk with Jiraiya yesterday. The fact that she also forgot to pack her stuff for the vacation wasn't helping either. Stuffing the last few things in her bag, she looks around the room to see if she had forgotten anything. Her eyes land on a white sundress that was decorated with a yellow floral design. It was one of her better pieces of clothing, but sadly since she became the Hokage there was no longer any time to wear it outside. Tsunade folds the dress and puts it into her bag along with the rest of her clothes before zipping up the now bulging bag of belongings. Hmm, am I bringing too much, what if Jiraiya thinks I'm excited to go on this trip with him? Wait! Why do I even care what Jiraiya thinks... this is ... yes, I'm only going on this trip to avoid paperwork that's why, I could care less about what that baka pervert thinks.

"Yo Tsunade"

Tsunade is pulled out of her thoughts as she hears Jiraiya's voice at the door frame. She gathers her bags and takes a steadying breath, deciding to lock up the turmoil of thoughts and emotions in her mind for another time. Turning around, she comes face to face with Jiraiya, if they had been the same height their faces would only be a few inches apart.

"Ji-Jiraiya? Wh-what are you doing here?" A light blush dusts her face crimson as she stutters slightly.

"Ah, Tsunade I was waiting for you at the entrance but I should have guessed that you didn't pack yet, as lazy as ever Tsu-hime" Jiraiya taunts, using the current situation as an opportunity to get a little closer to her, his eyes glance down for a moment before returning eye contact.

Tsunade's expression morphs from one of shock into an utter mask of fury. Before she could cock her fist back and land even one blow on Jiraiya though, he turns away from her and walks out the door.

"Oh and Tsunade?"

"What you old perv!"

He turns around with a solemn look on his face. Tsunade did not even know that he was even capable of forming such a expression.

"By the way..." He pauses for a moment before continuing, "You should probably change before we leave hime." Tsunade looks down at herself to see that the folds of her pajamas had loosened, showing almost unhealthy amounts of cleavage. Her face turns read in mortification, than anger, but Jiraiya quickly flees from the room.

"AHHHH, YOU BAKA PERVERT!!"

Later that morning...

Jiraiya stood by the village gates, staring up at the clear, cloudless sky.

Maybe I went a little too far this morning? But I can't let her know yet, she is so small, so fragile, I feel like if I just straight up told her my feelings she would break. He looks back towards the village to see Tsunade walking towards him, smiling happily and talking with a fellow ninja. Seeing how close her hand hung by his, Jiraiya felt a sudden pang of jealousy through his heart, but he quickly suppressed his rising emotions, a skill he had picked up throughout his many years alongside Tsunade and her deceased lover Dan. As the two drew closer, the ninja waved out to Jiraiya,
