Tears?

Josh waved goodbye to Tobi and Vik as he walked into the darkness of the night, his shoes in one hand, letting his feet touch the cool concrete beneath them.
He took a deep breath as the wind swept by, messing up his hair as it passed.
A lot of people thought he was crazy for walking around without shoes on, but he just enjoyed feeling grounded. He felt connected with the earth around him, and it helped him focus his energy into his work.
Pulling out his phone, he checked the address of the house of Simon Minter.
As he walked, he realized that he was going to have to go into the house, as giving people specific nightmares were hard. Giving people self-loathing nightmares were even worse.

Josh made it to the grey solemn house and immediately shifted, feeling himself become almost weightless and turn into light, well, the absence of it.
Slipping through the cracks, Josh crept up to the bedroom of his assignment and in through the tightly closed door.
Stretching slightly, Josh rolled his shoulders back before turning to look at his victim, freezing almost instantly.
Sitting up on the bed was the boy from earlier, his eyes closed tightly as he shuddered with silent sobs.
Unsure of what to do, Josh stood completely still, watching the boy.
Slowly, the blond looked up, his blue eyes rimmed with red.
"I know you're there." The boy managed to get out, causing Josh to tense.
"I-I'm n-not afraid..." the boy looked down, more tears escaping his eyes. "At least not any more."
He stood up and wrapped his arms around his body, staring around the room. "They taught me to fear the darkness..."
Trailing off, he looked directly at Josh, his blue eyes filled with something that Josh couldn't quite recognize, a look that sent shivers down Josh's spine.
"No told me what went on in the light."
