"...the hell..."

I've been off weed sometime now, and they say you can still feel the effects some time after...but this is some mind-blowing stuff right here.

A chill ran up my spine. I shake it off, but I suppose I shook too much because now the whole world is spinning. A wave of nausea hit me and there's a banging in my head, I lose my balance and hit the floor. My heart beat is loud, so loud it's deafening, my heart is racing. It runs up faster and faster, it shifts gear all the way to sixth and my eyes roll back into my head as I lose all ability to control my body. My body slaps the pavement like a fish out of the water as I blackout...and I feel ever inch of my body in pain.

I open my eyes reluctantly, my body burns and there is blood and open wounds all over me, my headache is still there, I clutch my head and beg it to just stop as if heeding my voice it calms and gradually dissipates as silence creeps in.

What the hell was that just now? The place is eerily silent, I've only just notice, the wind is gone as if the moon and the sea are both holding their breath. There is a constipation of air around me that makes it hard to release the air I'm holding on to.

Every fibre of being is screaming "Something is wrong, something is very wrong here!"

My thoughts are answered by a scream. Just south of me the house lights come on in response, just in time to catch the gruesome scene through the window curtain, a hatchet is buried into the cranium of a silhouette as a group of child-size silhouette's grabs the feminine silhouette and drags her to the ground by her hair.

I blink, but the splattered blood on the yellow curtains are still there. There was grunting garbled-up sounds and muffled screams emanating from the house.

The strange noises wake the neighbours and the began to slowly stream out of the houses to investigate, their answer came. There were a couple flashes of green and brown and before anyone knew it the silent peaceful streets was overcome with absolute chaos.

I was standing there, rooted to the spot as people were slaughtered, it just wasn't registering even as I witness streams upon streams of disfigured green midgets pour out of the houses with crude hatchets and axes and clothed in nothing but a loincloth and the blood of the fallen Tobagonians.

They screamed in glee, hunted and prosecuted any and all living things, they broke through the door after door unhindered and slaughtering men lift right and centre. The carnage left me paralysed, the screaming and shouting for help gradually faded, till all I can hear was a high pitched hum that left me feeling numb to my core. A young boy's head was split open before me, it was the iron taste of his grey matter on my lips that snapped me back to reality.

I ran.

I ran in no particular direction, I just ran pushing and tugging through the fleeing crowd that had the same thought, the faded screams are the only testament that I'm getting further away and hopefully somewhere safer.

I don't know what's happening but I know one thing, I'm scared really and truly scared.

I'm spent, I'm all out of stamina. My feet have taken me somewhere I recognise, a white two-story house with broken down the door and ripped curtains.

I enter Nerissa's house, the place is dark at first but my eyes adjust, the numbing sound loudness in volume. The sand brown couches and are turned over and ruin, as I walk the crunching sounds serves to inform me that this was remaining whole pieces of her vase, there are blood stains on the Flat screen and an axe in the death centre, the PS4TM parts are in a couple different places, the counter has a long line of blood over it, there is a disfigured man hanging by his intestine and the remainder of his bowels is piled below him on the corridor floors, the stench of his insides make me retch and vomit on his innards.

The numbness gets louder. I get closer to Nerissa's room, there' s distinct crunching sounds and slurping. I break the corner and entire her room, the numbness is at its climax, I just stare at her face as the other four other green midgets step out with axes and crude shields up and encircle me shouting and snarling at me, as they've only just noticed my presence, her eyes were cold and empty her lips were blue and split, she was just lying there, I tried to call out to her but my voice croaked, the gash on her belly shows that she died a while ago yet still I hope that she can still be alive, her body is being ripped apart...yet still... she must be alive.

I entire the room and dropped to my knees as I watch Nerissa's face, it's cold...so cold.

I faint.
