"Lexy! Banana is here!" Trina shout from downstairs, calling my best friend by her nickname.

"Trina! You're eight, why do you still call me a fruit?" I heard Hanna say, making me chuckle.

Hanna and I have been friends since diapers. Her mom and mine used to work together but then they had to leave because of Hanna's dad, but now they're back for good.

"Hey Han." I plop myself on her lap.

"Lexy, move your fatass!" And then I found myself sitting on the floor.

"Lexy and Hanna, can you help me unload the groceries?" Mom said as she entered the house with two bags in her arms.

"Sure thing, Momma K." Hanna went outside with me behind her. She rummaged through the bags first, looking for something. "Gummies!" She shout, holding multiple bags of assorted gummy candies.

"Hanna, those are for Katrina." Mom laughed, joining us at the car.

"Just one?" Hanna pouted at my mom.

I don't know how we're the same age. I don't know why she's my friend.

"How old are you again, Hanna?" I ask.

"Twenty..." She whisper, bowing her head, making my mom laugh harder.

"You can have one. Come on, let's get these inside." Mom said, getting two more bags from the car and going inside.

Hanna grabbed another two, and I grabbed the last one and locked the car. As soon as I get inside I hear Shawn Mendes singing, and my sister is, again, jumping on the couch. I leave Hanna and the groceries in the kitchen with my mom and went to my sister.

"Seriously, Trina?"

"This is live!" She shout.

"Oh dear." I shake my head at her.

She was watching one of those radio concert things. I got to say though, this dude is amazing. Even better than the Biebs, I think.

"Isn't he so hot?" Hanna gushed from behind me, looking at the TV.

I scoff. "You too?"

"Uh yeah, I'd totally tap that." She says then scroll through her phone and show me a shirtless picture.

"Oh wow." My eyes widen, not really expecting that.

Hmmm...

"See?" She smirk at me, one eyebrow raised.

"Trina, we'll be in our room okay. Clean your drool up." I tell my sister who is still jumping and singing along to the singer.

"Yeah, whatever."

Hanna and I lay on my bed, just talking about anything and everything.

I love this girl to death. She has helped me get through so much, I don't know what I'd do without her.

Story time!

When we were, I think, ten-years-old, I went through a tough stage. My dog, Skip, died then they had to leave. I was so heartbroken, my two best friends were leaving me.

However, Hanna made sure that we could still see each other even if she was in a different country. She would randomly send me letters with all kinds of stuff. We had a schedule, every 10PM here in Canada, we'd video chat.

I know people would define soulmate as their partner, or love of their life. But, for me? She's my soulmate. Cheesy, I know right?

"So, how are things with you and that Frank dude?" Hanna asked.

Frank's just some guy that I've been talking to, but nothing serious.

"Nothing's going on. I stopped replying to him days ago." I reply nonchalantly.

"That fast, Lexy?" She stood up, took my guitar and sat on the floor, strumming lightly.

"Meh. Not my type."

"Oh, really now?"

"What? You think I'd go for just any guy?"

"Uh yeah." She said in a as-a-matter-of-fact tone.

I gasp exaggeratedly and threw a pillow at her. "How dare you?!"

"How dare me?!" She mimics me and throws the pillow back with much more force. "Fight me."

"Put my guitar down first." I squint my eyes at her.

"No." She was using my guitar as a shield! This btch! "Not so tough now, aren't you?" Hanna was just smirking at me holding the guitar in front of her.

"You little son of a—" I was about to curse her out when Trina entered our room.

"Dinner's ready."

Hanna put my guitar back on its stand and ran downstairs, avoiding my hands that were about to grab her by mere inches.

"Let's go, Lexy! I'm hungry!" Hanna shout from downstairs.

"Alright, alright!" I carry Trina in my arms and went down for dinner with my family.
