Chapter 6. A/N: (...)= Thoughts

"Serena!"

...

"Oh my Arceus, please don't be dead.."

(Mmmm... Hmm? Wh...What's going on?)

"Serena, please wake up.."

(Is that...Calem? What's... What's happening?")

My eyes shoot open and I'm immediately blinded by bright lights. "Hmm?", I closed my eyes back and blinked a few times so my eyes could adjust.

"What's.. happening?", I asked myself quietly as I opened my eyes completely and sat up.

It appeared I was in the Nurse's Office, but.. I didn't see anyone in here.

Why did I hear Calem's voice then? Was it just a dream? 

I looked at both of my fists. They were covered in Miette's dried up blood and a few sparkles from her lip gloss.

My hands started to shake.

(Why did I do this...?

Over.. A guy?

Or..)

I stopped thinking as I noticed a tear running down my cheek.

(Miette... I'm sorry..)

Suddenly, I heard the door open. "Serena?", I heard a voice, but more than one pair of footsteps.

I looked up.

It was Gary, Calem and Melody. Melody had a few bruises but it looks like she's okay.

"Are you okay?", Gary stepped closer, but I held up a hand. "Stay back.. I'm.. I'm a monster..", I said, my voice trembling.

Gary stopped and sighed. Calem tried to approach this time, but I had the same reaction.

"Serena? Thank you.."

I looked at Melody. Why is she thanking me..?

"What.. are you thanking me for?", I asked.

"You put Miette in her place. She's gonna leave me alone now.", Melody said.

"But... Now a lot of people are.. uh.. scared of you.", Gary added.

I sighed. "Now everyone hates me..", I muttered.

"What? No! We all care about you.", Calem reassured while death-glaring at Gary.

"Where's... Ash?", I asked. A wave of disappointment filled Gary's face. "He left early. Him and Misty broke up.", he informed.

Suddenly, excitement filled me.

"Really?! Why?",  I asked, trying not to sound like the best thing of my life didn't just happen.

"Look, that doesn't matter right now.", Gary said in a envious tone.

"Gary?", Melody looked up at the porcupine.

"Yeah?"

"I'm gonna be late to class. Can you.. take me to class just in case Ursula shows up?", Melody asked.

"But Serena..", he muttered, looking at me for a while before turning back to Melody. "Fine. I will."

Gary's POV

Me and Melody both left the Nurse's Office. "Soooo...", Melody said awkwardly. "Can I call you Mel?", I asked randomly. "Sure.", she said.

"Okay. So why were you friends with Miette and Ursula anyway?"

"At first, it was a true friendship of three losers. Me, Ursula and Miette. We never turned on each others' backs. It was like this for 5 amazing years, until last year.. Last year was when we all were popular. Personally, I didn't care about it but Ursula and Miette were so consumed in trying to keep their reputation high, it led to them bullying people. Especially Serena, seeing that both Miette and Serena both had a crush on Ash. I never really hated Serena in any way. It wasn't fair for Serena to get bullied over a crush. That's why Miette and Ursula snapped and turned all their fake ass friends on me today.---"

"You're a good person you know?", I said, interrupting. She looked at me for a while, then she smiled.

"I'm glad you think so, but I still need to get to class.", She smirked, her crystal blue eyes glimmering.

(Hmm.. She's actually okay.. Melody deserves better friends than Miette and Ursula)

I looked on as Gary and Melody walked out the door. I felt the slightest bit uncomfortable about her...

"Serena... what happened?", Calem asked.

"I just.. I don't know, Calem... I lost it. I couldn't hold in all of my anger anymore..", I started to cry.

"No, Serena, don't cry.. please.", Calem said softly, hugging me. "B-But Calem, I've never fought anyone before.. I feel awful for what I did..", I sobbed, wetting his jacket with my tears.

"Serena..."

"I'm a monster!"

"Serena...."

"And I don't deserve an-", I was yelling out into his jacket, until he grabbed my face and made mine face his.

"Serena! Listen..."

I looked up at him. "What?"

"Listen... to how quiet it sounds when you're not TALKING.", He said.

I stared at him for a few seconds, then we both burst into laughter.

"Sh-Shut it!", I said while laughing.

The laughter died down after a while.

"I haven't laughed like that in a while.", I sighed.

"Yeah.."

We both looked at each other. I could see him slightly blushing at me.

Suddenly, he started to lean towards me.

My eyes widened.

(WHAAA??? What is he doing?! Is he trying to kiss me? What should I do?! Should I kiss back? Should I?! Ahhhh! Idk!!!)

He leaned in a bit closer.

"Serena.. I.."

Suddenly, Gary opened the door to the nurse's office. Calem quickly backed away looking at Gary, who, somehow, didn't even know what was happening since he had his back turned before he looked at us.

"Cmon Serena. I'll get you to class too."

"N-No, Gary. That won't be necessary.", I sweatdropped, looking at Calem, who looked like he wanted to kill Gary.

"I'm not taking no for an answer..", Gary said, raising an eyebrow.

"Okay, fine Gary..", I said flatly.

I got up and as I walked over to the porcupine, I heard him whisper "If he tries something, let me know.", close into my ear.

I looked back at Calem and nodded.

Calem is my friend and all, but why does he have to be so OVERPROTECTIVE?

Me and Gary were just walking around the school.

"Hey, Sere?"

"What?"

"Let's ditch."
