Truthful Lies

*Reka's pov*

I decided to go back to my team. I made a paper bird and let it lead me to them. When I got there I saw them trying to climb a tree with no hands. I snickered as Sasuke fell, making my presence known. "Mire!(chan!)" Naruto and Sakura yelled running over to me.

"Kamo, where have you been?" Kakashi-sensei asks.

"Well, when I was kicked away, I was stabbed in the stomach. I was barely conscious but made it to a small cave to heal, yah. I'm mostly healed now." I say. Sasuke walks up to me and grabs my chin, forcefully moving my head up, down, left, right, then he flicks my nose. "Nice to see you too Duck Ass."

"You can't do this while you're injured Kamo." Kakashi says after a minute.

"I already know how to do this. It's one of the first things you learn in Iwagakure's academy, un." I state with a shrug.

"Of course it is. Hmm, then I have a different chakra control exercise for you. Walking on water." Kakashi says.

"Sounds easy, un." I say. Kakashi tells my teammates to continue with their training as he take me to the ocean to show me how to walk on water.

"Alright, you know how to channel chakra to your feet. Now, since you'll only get wet when you do this, it won't effect your wound in anyway." He says and I nod. He focuses his chakra to his feet and walks out on the water. "Now you try it."

I focus chakra to my feet and step on the water. I take a step then sink into the water. I furrow my eyebrows trying to think of how to do it. I focus chakra back to my feet and walk again. Getting a few steps in before sinking in the water waste deep. "What am I missing?" I question myself.

"You're not doing bad Kamo. But it isn't as easy as you thought, huh?" Kakashi mocks. To be honest I forgot he was even there.

"No, un." I say crossing my arms. "Sensei, what is it in not doing right?" I ask confused.

"You're not channeling your chakra. Water flows, it moves. You have to channel your channel, make it flow. It sounds easy but it's not. Now try again." Kakashi says.

I do as he says and try again. I let my chakra flow and begin to walk. I start to slip but I recover. I walk to Kakashi and grin. "I did it, yah!" I exclaim, still focusing my chakra, letting it flow.

"Good. Now to make it harder, Taijutsu sparing." He says in that monotoned, mocking voice.

"What?! How am I suppose to do that, un?! I can barely keep my balance as is!" I exclaim.

"That's why it's training. To help you become stronger. Think of it as extra training." Kakashi says as he gets in a taijutsu stance. I copy his stance the best I can while still trying to keep my balance. We begin to spar, me losing terribly, losing concentration and falling into the water multiple time. "Alright, that's enough sparing. I'm going to check on the others. You continue to practice." Kakashi says then leaves.

I sigh as I pull myself up and walk on the water again. I walk around trying to think of ways to make my training harder. I begin to walk around the island. "Mirekamosu." An emotionless voice says from behind me, causing me to jump, lose focus and fall into the water. I surface and glare at the person.

"Sasori no Dana, un." I say crossing my arms as I refocus on my chakra and slowly begin to stand on the water. "What are you doing here?" I question.

"To help you with your training." He says.

"Why would you do that, hmmm?" I question curiously.

"Because this is pathetic. You've almost master puppetry, and you got your other art down. But you can't always rely on your art, you need more then that. Now let's begin, exactly as your sensei was doing. Taijutsu. You
need it." He says simply. I groan but nod anyways. As we're training and I completely fail at sparing and keep falling in the water he gives me pointers.

"Damn it!" I exclaim as I resurface from the water. I don't even bother pulling myself out of the water and just lay back looking at the clouds.

"What are you doing Mirekamosu? That's how you get killed, not paying attention to your opponent." Sasori says.

"I'm paying attention, un. I just don't care at this moment. I'm wore out, if I go on any long the next time I lose focus I won't come back up, yah." I state simply.

"I suppose that would be a disaster. The brat would be too emotional." Sasori contemplates. "Fine take a break."

"Was already planing too, un." I state looking up at him. He watches me curiously for a moment. "See something interesting, hmmm?" I tease. He scoffs at me.

"You'd wish." He says monotoned. I think for a moment and laugh.

"You're not bad looking but I couldn't be with art, un. What kind of artist would I be then, hmmm?" I ask being a smart ass.

"You're a smart ass." He states.

"So I've been told." I reply.
