The Second Exam; Prelimiary Rounds

*Third Person pov*

As everyone went up to the observing area, Sasuke stayed back for a minute. Without anyone seeing him he kissed Mirekamosu on the check and wished her luck. Rinkato looks beyond nervous as he is about to fight against his sensei's little sister, someone who is probably stronger then he is and is absolutely crazy when it comes down to it. Mirekamosu, she is indeed crazy but she isn't that strong, not taijutsu wise anyways. It's the only thing she isn't good at. She stood ready though, not showing fear. Maybe that is what makes her seem so strong. Maybe that's why the leader of the Akatsuki wants her, maybe that why her brother, Sasori, Kisame and Itachi all think she can get them out of there.

"Ready?" The protector ask as he coughs in a rag. The two just nod and tighten their stances.

"We're still friends after this right?" Rinkato asks as the bell sounds to begin the match.

"Of course, un." Mirekamosu answers. She tightens her stance watching him.

"Good, because this is going to hurt." He throws explosives at her, she puts her arms up in an 'x' to block her face. Smoke covers the arena, taking this chance Mirekamosu put a layer of ice around her body to protect from almost anything.

"No way she will walk away from that." Temari says leaning on the railing.

"She plays with explosives, that was too low of an explosion to hurt her any." Mekuto says appearing beside them. "Rinkato knows this, so what's he planing?"

"Where the hell did you come from?" She asks punching him in the face.

As the smoke clears everything is intense as Mirekamosu is laying on the ground. Rinkato tenses as she begins to laugh like a maniac. She slowly stands up pulling off her weights at the same time. She throws them behind herself and a large crater is formed as they hit the ground.

"Let's put your speed to the test." Rinkato says laughing, throwing kunai's at her. She dodges them all in seconds and stops an inch in front of him. "Shit!" He exclaims as she places an explosion on his chest. Another explosion is set off as she does the hand sign and says her favorite word.

"ENOUGH PLAYING AROUND YOU TWO!" Jade yells at them.

"No way they're playing around." Shikamaru says.

"You heard sensei Rin, yah. Let's say we kick it up another notch?" Mirekamosu asks grinning.

"Fine." Rinkato replies.

Mirekamosu pulls out her puppet scroll and pulled out all 100 of them. A few have been beat up but are still able to fight. Mirekamosu throws her arms out to the side and twitches her fingers. "Now the battle has begun." She says sadistically.

"I give up!" Rinkato yells. She stops what she's doing and slumps.

"You're such a loser, yah." She says and puts her puppets away. "I really wanted to play with my puppets more, yah."

"Those have poison in them! You're crazy if you think I'm going to let you poison me!" Rinkato yells at her.

"I have antidotes." Mirekamosu states crossing her arms as he puppets go away.

"Rinkato Meikateku forfeits, Mirekamosu wins this fight." The protector says then has a coughing fit. The next two names are called out, "Sasuke Uchiha and Yoroi Akadō, come to the arena."

*Reka's pov*

I walk slowly to the door to the waiting area. As Sasuke come out the door I kiss his cheek without being noticed. "Good luck Sasuke."

"Thanks Reka." He says as he continues to walk to the center of the battle. Kakashi-Sensei appears behind me.

"I saw that." He says boredly. I jump a foot.

"What? You didn't see anything, yah." I laugh awkwardly.

"She tried to hide it from us as well." Rinkato and Mekuto say standing behind me.

"You two, shut up." I say slapping hands over their mouths. My gloves blocking my hand mouths from them.

"I'm not saying anything, Kamo, but whatever is going on with you two, you better explain to Sakura and everyone." Kakashi-sensei says.

"Yeah. I know, un. But I don't even know myself..." I state simply. We watch as the fight goes on. Sasuke begins to lose control. My dealing ointment is wore off and his curse mark is spreading. "Sasuke..." I mutter trying to get to him. Mekuto holds me back.

"He'll be okay." Mekuto says lowly.

"Sasuke! Snap out of it, yah! This isn't you!" I exclaims trying to get away from my team to stop him from killing Yoroi. He comes back to his normal self and I sigh. He wins his match. Kakashi-sensei takes him to get his mark sealed off. I wasn't aloud in the infirmary unless I was seriously injured or something so I had to wait. I watched all the fights.

Shino won. Kankuro won. Sakura and Ino tied. Temari won. Shikamaru won. NARUTO WON! Neji won by almost killing Hinata. Gaara won by almost killing Lee. Dosu won easily.

All the winners stood in front of Lord Hokage and he explained some stuff to us. I didn't pay attention. He told us who would be paired up fighting. Naruto is fighting Neji. Sasuke is fighting Gaara, I froze at that. Kankuro is fighting Shino. Shikamaru is fighting Temari. Then Dosu and I. I looked to Dosu and he paled slightly. I don't understand why everyone under Orochimaru's command is afraid of me, but I'll take it. As we're dismissed I stay back thinking.

"Mirekamosu, you can leave now." Lord Third says coming up to me. He put a hand on my shoulder.

"Yes I know gramps, un. I... erm.... can I go back into the forest? There are some rare herbs there, I'd like to pick them, yah. If it's fine by you." I ask him.

"What are these herbs for?" He asks curiously.

"To heal someone important, yah. Also.... Gramps?" I ask, he raises an eyebrow. "If I can clear some people's names... can they come to the village, un? Also if you think I can... I'd also like a few things from your office, yah. To shed some light on the truth." I ask. He chuckles at me.

"If you really think you can clear their names then of course child. This will be your special mission from myself and those who ask you to clear their names, and you may do whatever is needed to clear their names. As long as you do not kill anyone who doesn't need to die." He says with a kind smile.

"Of course gramps. I wouldn't kill without reason, un." I say smiling.

"Good, child. You should go get those herbs about now. Stop by my office tonight when everyone is asleep so you can get those files." He says with a knowing smile. I smile and nod back.
