Haley POV:
I wake up to a sun shining straight into my eyes. I blink and try to get my eyes adjusted. It is Friday and I'm super glad. Friday is the day I always go back to our secret spot in the woods. It reminds me of him and sometimes I think he is still there, right beside me watching the stars.
I get changed after my shower and I don't bother putting makeup on. My phones vibrates from a text.
"Can't pick you up today, I'm so sorry my car broke down! -love A"
It's Amanda. I don't mind walking to school, I need to get some exercise in.
On the way to school there is a coffee shop. I stop there and grab a latte. Mason and I used to come here all the time. Now I don't come here often, it reminds me of him.
As I was walking out, I began thinking about Mason again. What does he look like now? I continue walking.
Somewhere among my daydreaming about Mason and I being the best of friends in high school, I must have walked into the road.
I hear honking and all of a sudden I freeze, not knowing what to do. This must be my end. Hopefully I'll see Mason.
The car is merely a yard away when it seemingly hits an invisible barrier. I do not understand what is happening. The car was even dented!
I snap out of my phase and run to the sidewalk, completely confused.
What just happened??
Unknown POV:
I'll always protect her.
