Haley POV:
School is finally over! I walk to the woods, to our secret spot. It wasn't that far, only about a mile.I arrive to our spot and sit down in one of the chairs. Over the years I have brought lights to hang around here and a large plastic container full of pictures of Mason and I and notes we used to send each other.
I go onto my phone and listen to music and just think about what it would be like if he hadn't disappeared.
Would I recognize him? Would we still be best friends? Would we have fallen in love, like a typical cliche?
I think about these things until dark.
I see the first star and remember how we would always watch the stars together. They were beautiful. Pointing out constellations was our favorite thing to do. We had a game where you had to find the most first to win.
I remember when we came out here one night and slept here. Mason brought blankets, I brought pillows. We watched the stars but I eventually fell asleep before he did.
I am laying there, but for some reason I feel like he is right next to me. Just like the night we slept here. Warm and calm thoughts overcome my stressed ones.
I drift to sleep, the best sleep I've had in a while.
Unknown POV:
I see her lay down, wishing she could see me. I know she can't see me though, so I go and lay next to her, being careful not to lay on her hair.I missed this.
I lay next to her for hours. She fell asleep awhile ago. I run to get blankets for her. She won't remember bringing these here but I don't want her to be cold.
I soon fall asleep next to her while watching her sleep. She has always been beautiful when she sleeps.
