They won't know it's you, they won't know it's you, they won't know it's you.... this had been echoing throughout my empty mind the whole night as I slept, my dreams filled with the blank white room, Taylor's screams, and the bloody note. They won't know it's you.
I wake up to the sound of screams. I panic, throwing the covers from my bed off of me and rush downstairs.
When I reach the base of the stairs, I see my mom and dad coming through the front door, laughing and poking fun at one another. I stand in the middle of the front room, staying rigid.
"Did you have fun?" I spit. They stop and look up at me, guilt smacked across their faces.
"Because while you were partying, I watched a girl die from cancer. You should learn how to be parents, and stop living as 20 year olds. You're not in college partying all the time, you're my parents. Yeah, maybe you had some rough times, but they're over now, and guess what, you have a son who is alone all the time. But I won't be for long because if this keeps up, I'm going to get tired and leave this shithole."
"Honey.." Mom reaches towards me. I pull away and stomp upstairs. Pulling on my running outfit, I climb down the "emergency ladder" I set up outside my bedroom window when I was little, in case I needed to get to the falls without being seen.
I descend the metal ladder rapidly, my hands gripping the cold rungs of the ladder tightly. I jump off the last bar and look out at my backyard. There is no fence, just an open field, and past the field, woods and hills along the stream leading up to the falls. I begin to run through the tall grass, escaping my life for now. All I hear is the pounding of my feet on the damp eath floor. It's my escape, it always has been.

TAYLOR'S POV:
Rhett left at 9 o'clock last night, and I almst broke down saying goodbye like I did last time I said goodbye to him.The only difference was this time, I wouldn't screw things up. I would do everything as planned, and everything was ready to be put into action. I had the note tucked in the pocket of my sweatshirt, and I found the rest of Mom's amphetamines. If I took the rest of them, it should kill me, and if that didn't work, I had more pills. Different ones. Saved from the harder days after Will.
I shut my bedroom door, making sure Mom wasn't home and step back inside my bedroom. I look at the pill capsule in my hand, and without thinking, pop the top off and pour a handful into my palm. I take them one at a time until I run out and need more. I take the whole capsule. 9 pills. After about 30 minutes, I fall to the floor, feeling like there is a bomb inside of me and it's about to explode. My forehead sweats, my hands shake uncontrollably, and I begin to vomit, pulling the nearby tin trash can to me.
