Another grueling week of non-stop practice followed. I, along with both the entire teams, were dead by the end of the week. All I asked was to be left alone for the weekends, so I could relax and maybe my soreness would go away.

But of course that isn't possible when your friends with a bunch of overworking idiots and a particular orange-haired boy with a determination to kill himself.

BEEP
BEEP

A chorus of rings exploded my phone, texts messages.

Hinata: Who wants to practice?!

Kageyama: I'm free

Akane: ARE YOU TWO SUICIDAL?!

Daichi: Look, I want to practice too, but we need to heal our muscles

Suga: Yeah! You guys need to rest

Kazuya: I'm up for it

Hinata: YAY

~Hinata added 5501 to the chat~

Me: Who's that?

Hinata: Oh HI Y/N!! That's Hitoka by the way

My stomach did summersaults once again, just how close are they?

Hitoka: Hey guys, I'm not sure if Hinata told you guys yet, but I decided to join

Daichi: Welcome!!

Suga: Welcome!

Me: Yeah, welcome to the team. I'm guessing you'll be the manager for the boys though right?

Hitoka: Yeah, thank you!

Me: Oh yeah, um I'll come

Hinata: YAY

Hinata: We can meet at the gym, I have the key this week

Akane: Sorry dude but I want to sleep

Daichi: Same, and everyone else is probably sleeping, so you guys have fun killing yourselves

Suga: DO NOT KILL YOURSELVES

Hinata: Alright, mom

Suga: I'm done, night

Me: LOL, well I'll see you guys there

I just changed from my pjs into some shorts and a F/C tank top, but added my kneepads. I took out my roller blades and slipped them on, holding my volleyball shoes in my hand. So I rode to school, on a Saturday, just to please that dork. I-I mean those dorks, Kageyama and Kazuya are going as well.

~Mini Time Skip~

"Hey," I said sitting down on the steps of the gym to untie my skate, then put my volleyball shoes on.

"HI!" Hinata yelled behind me.

"HEY!" Kazu-chan screamed.

"Hi," Kageyama said emotionless as ever.

"So what are we doing?" I asked walking in.

"Just something. Kageyama's been tossing me some normal quicks but its not going well, so we're just gonna do the freak quicks while Kazuya-chan tries to dig them up," Hinata always got a bit more serious when talking about volleyball.

"Ok, what do you want me to do?" I asked but then got an idea, "ACTUALLY, WE CAN DO GIRLS VERSUS BOYS!"

"YEAH!" Kazu yelled but then turned a disturbing shade of green.

"GET IT TOGETHER MAN!" I shook her.

"BUT THEY HAVE A GIANT ON THEIR TEAM," Kazuya pointed at Kageyama.

"Too bad," Hinata stuck out his tongue and I couldn't help but laugh.

I turned back to Kazu-chan and very carefully said, "Look their freak attack is strong, and almost impossible to block, so instead of trying to do that, just worry on getting it up. I don't care if its on the other side of the court, just get it up."

"Got it, we can do this," Kazuya replied getting a bit more color on her face.

~Time Skip~

We were in a on-and-off rate by the time we began. They couldn't get ahead, and neither could we. Every time we got a point, so did they.

At last, it was Kageyama's turn to serve again. Curse that stupid jump serve. It came hurling over the net straight to me and I had to bump it up. Which meant I couldn't set.

"KAZU LEFT!" I yelled getting ready

"Y/N!" Kazuya set it up high enough for me to run up. As I was about to spike I saw Kageyama go up for a block, clear as day. Instead I did a feint, which Hinata wasn't expecting.

"Sorry, I'll try to get the next a bit better," Kazu looked determined.

"But that was great," I smiled.

"Yeah for elementary maybe," at that moment Kazu snapped, I could see in her eyes. She was eating herself up for something for a long time and it just cracked... "Everyone on this team, and they boys' has a secret weapon, something they're great at. You're quick thinker and can't be backed into a corner," she then looked at Hinata, "You have great stamina and speed," then she looked at Kageyama, "You're a freaking genius," she then kept going, spilling everything out. "Yui and Nishinoya are great defenders, Akane's our ace, she's a great wing spiker and she has good mental power. Tanka doesn't let stupid comments get to him, he's reliable when others spirits are down. Even Suga who doesn't play much, he's always got a plan, a good plan. But me? I don't have anything special to offer."

"I-I never knew you though of it that way..." Kageyama looked stunned.

"K-Kazuya..." Hinata spoke softly.

"You're getting it all wrong." I said rather harshly. "You're good at everything, serving, passing, tossing, it doesn't matter to you. You do it all, and your good at all of it. It's was makes you special, not what makes you normal. When I can't set, and Akane can't spike, and Yui can't pass, you'll be there to fix our holes. Like Daichi and Michimiya. Except they're third years and your a first year, that's your super power."

"..."

"I-I never t-thought of it that way..." Kazuya's eyes widened. "T-Thank you, Y/N."

"It's only the truth, Kazu." I smiled at her. "Now let's beat these boys' butts."

Hi guys! I'm so sorry for not posting sooner, I've been working on my new book. I really hope you enjoyed this chapter, and that maybe some volleyball player out there that feels like Kazu now sees what they truly mean to the team. Thank you so so much for reading, it means the world to me!
