After grabbing my luggage my phone beings to ring. I groan as I pull myself out of the crowd, mutter 'excuse you' and 'get out of my way'. As I pull myself up against a wall, I answer the phone call and put it to my ear.
"Hello, this is Rosadina Hathaway, speaking. What's the problem?" I say and roll my eyes in frustration at the chaos of the airport.
"There is a person waiting for you in the arrival hall." A man's voice says, he sounds powerful and impatient.
"Who is this?" I ask and I hear him sigh, clearly frustrated.
"I'm the person who hired you." He says and then he hangs up. I groan and tuck my phone into my jacket before continuing towards the arrival hall.
As soon as I reach the hall, I look around mostly for my name and I find it. I push my glasses further up my nose and make my way towards that person. The person is holding my name up on a piece of paper, it's a woman and she's texting on her phone. She slightly tall, she's wearing a pencil skirt, a button up shirt and heels. Once she looks up from her phone, she sees me approaching smiles putting it away.
"Good evening, Ms. Hathway." She states and nods her head towards her right before she starts walking. I walk behind her and we make our way through the crowd. We finally walk out the door from that hellish place and I take a deep breath of fresh air.
As soon as we get outside a sleek black car pulls up. Someone has class. I put my suitcase in the boot before getting inside the car behind the woman. The woman goes right back to texting on her phone I fight the urge to roll my eyes, "You know, if you keep that up you'll probably have neck problems from looking down so much."

After a short ride we stop at an abandoned building, I look at the woman next to me with a confused glance but I only get a shrug back. I take a deep breath out before I get out of the car and slam the car door.
I walked towards the entrance door. From there, the whole structure appeared to be monstrously massive. I truly thought the feeling of inferiority would cease when I entered the building. It did not. I walked down a hallway, there are dust and cobwebs.
I finally stop, as man swaggered forward in the dark hallway, I could make out an umbrella that was in his hand. Tall, lanky, expensive suit indicating a rather high level in society, a CEO of a corporation or a government worker, albeit with a receding hairline possibly caused by high stress accompanied by his calculating eyes. "I'm the person who hired you." echoes through my mind. And it definitely wasn't someone from Scotland Yard.
"Rosadina Hathaway I have a case for you. A case that involves a government official." He states and he makes me scoff.
"I only just got here." I tell him and I make sure not to fumble over my words.
"And I've been here for years with goldfish and besides with Sherlock-' the man stops catching my curious glance and instead of carrying on he simply hands me a case file, "This is the your first case and pay check. If you refuse to do it, you'll be removed and sent back to America."
His eyebrows seem to move independently of each other before he states something else, "The car shall be taking you to the place you now reside in." Then with a twirl of his umbrella he walks off.
"Wait, you never told be your name!" I shout out to him.
"Solve the case and I shall contact you when you are needed." He says and continues his way.
I hardly even notice the women from earlier whom has walked in her fingers still typing away on her cell phone, "I'm here to take you home."
Home.
Such a weird word. A home is where you are supposed to feel safe and accepted, but sadly I never got that. A racist sister and an all white family. But you are the odd one out. Because you aren't fully like them.
