<Chapter 2>
"Soooo..." I said breaking the awkward silence. "What do you want to do?" I asked
Dad was always like a shadow that I've never really known. And talking to him now was like talking to a complete
stranger!
"Ummm... do you remember Sarah Beck? " Dad asked
" You mean that crazy chick Uncle Danny brought with him last he visited!? Oh yes I remember her! She ate my $5 bill that I got from Uncle Danny! She just picked it up and ate it! Talk about rude!" I said trying not to giggle.
"Oh good so you do remember her." He said his voice kind of shaky.
"Well she moved to Washington not to long ago and I asked her to babysit you for tonight and a couple other nights." He said
My jaw dropped to the floor. I hadn't even got to talk to him but five minutes and we are already on the wrong side!
"What!?" I asked dumbfound "Do you just not want to see me or something! I'm your daughter! Oh wait I forgot you don't like me!" I said sarcastically.
Before I could say anything else he left the room.
"What an air head..." I said to myself after he had left. I miss mom already! Remembering what mom said about having fun I wanted to throw up! what kind of fun was this! This was certainly not my definition if fun.
THREE HOURS LATER.....
Sarah arived about 8:00 and I decided to hide. But it was obviously to late when I saw dad coming down the hallway in a suit.
"Where are you going?" I asked very rudely.
"Uhhhh..." He paused for a minute the answered, "to work."
" Are you sure?" I asked
"Why so many questions?!" he stammered
"Just curious.... Plus you didn't sound to positive on that answer" I replied being very sure that I sounded like a smart Alec. I was still very annoyed with him. plus it didn't make very much sense because he didn't work at night!
Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, Sarah walked in the room.
"Uhhhhh" I growned when she gave the creepy cross eyed smile of hers.
Shoot me now I thought! putting a finger gun to my head and pretending to shoot.
"I'll be back late. I don't know how long though. she needs to be in bed my 9:00" he said
"Excuse me? my bed time has always been 10:30!" I said
"Who the heck are you to tell me what to do!" Surprisingly I didn't regret what I said. Dad didn't even flinch he just repeated to Sarah that my bed time was 9:00 sharp and left without another word.
