<Chapter 10>

I looked out into the parking lot before going out just to make sure no one was there. Sure enough the parking lot was empty.

Ok the cost was clear... but how was I gonna get home? I went over to the park across the street and looked at the big huge map of Washingtonian they had. I was nearly 30 miles from out house! How was I gonna get home?!

I looked at the map again there was a bus stop just around the corner. Good thing a didn't clean out my pockets! I had kept a 20 dollar bill from the carnival last week.

When I got to the bus stop I had to wait a couple minutes for the bus to arrive. Luckily it was only $5.00 to board the bus. As soon as I took my seat I crashed. I was pooped. I had been through so much tonight. A 12 year old shouldn't have to deal with that kind of stuff. But I was too tired to worry about anything right now all I knew was that I had to get home safe.

By the time I got home it was 11:45 and I knew I had to find a way to get a hold of mom. But I knew I couldn't. government workers like my mom weren't allowed to have private personal phones with them when working. its sounds stupid I know, but they have to have their full attention focused on their job at task. Being a government agent has its down sides.

So I gave up on that thought. When I got to the driveway dads car wasn't there, I knew I was right. he wouldn't come this early... he probably went out for a drink or something.

I opened the door and realized that Sarah was still hiding! Ha! that was hillarious! I can't believe she actually fell for that!!

But something was wrong... her car wasn't here when I got to the driveway! Could dad of done something to her!? oh no! oh no no no no no!!

I felt like I was gonna be sick! I mean not that I was worried about Sarah or anything but if he did do something to Sarah that would obviously mean... he knows about me.
