New Beginnings (Before You Exit fan fiction)

Change of view

SYDNEY'S POV

I left after Lauren went out for her date and got a text from Toby saying to go over to his house and of course I did.

"Hey glad you came" toby said

"Yeah why'd you want me" I said

"Because we are going to have a movie night"

"Just us?"

"Maybe I don't know c'mon I set it up in my room"

We went upstairs and I started to look at the movie choices.

"Dude we've seen Die Hard like 50 times" I said (why did I say dude I don't know I get all tongue tied around him)

"You know it's like one of my favorites c'mon put it in"

"Fine"

After a while into the movie we just started quoting it. It was like old times I missed those times. We kinda started getting cozy then the door bell rang and just had to ruin everything. Toby ran down immediately and slowly rolled off from the bed and dragging the blanket with me back downstairs to the door.

"Hey" Mai said and hugged toby while giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey Mai" he said

"Hey I brought chad with me like you asked"

'What she brought someone I swear I will kill toby if this is a double date' i said to myself

That's weird that she brought him they used to date. You see Mai and I used to be best friends then everything changed in the 5th grade she left me to join the "popular people" I told her that I liked chad so she stole him from me.Ive always known toby we have always been close we just didn't hang out at school because the guys thought it would be weird anyway chad told me last year that he liked me but I didn't say anything I just left now there's just constantly awkward tension.

"Hey Sydney " chad said

"H- hey" I said

"So the movie is going to be in the basement now " toby said

I looked at him and turned my head

"We can finish it later" he continued

We all went downstairs. Mai and Toby sat on the ground and I sat on the couch behind them with chad.I made sure he was far as possible.

"So what are we going to watch?" I asked

"Oh can we please watch she's the man" Mai asked

"I don think we have that one" toby responded

"That's okay I brought it"

"Oh well we can put that in if you want"

She nodded then the movie started playing about half way into the movie I went to go get snacks I brought Swedish fish and Cheetos.don't get me wrong i like the movie its just it's too girly.I was reaching for the chips and chad was too our hands touched and I looked away and pulled my hands away too. toby and Mai were cuddling in front of us it was annoying

"Hey do you want throw candy at them" I whispered to chad

"Sure" we started throwing candy while they were kissing but they wouldn't stop it was gross. Chad and I were laughing

"You have a really cute laugh" he said

"Thanks........ hey toby can you turn up the heat it cold down here"

He didn't respond

"Here take my jacket" chad said

"No it's okay I'll go get a blanket from upstairs"
