New Beginnings (Before You Exit fan fiction)

Party

"Lauren come here!" Nina screamed

"What!" I said back an waited for here response "what!" then I just ended up going to her room."What should I wear" she asked "its just a party" I said

"Well you have to make a good first impression"

"I know but"

"I know this and you this"

She pointed a dress at me that I should wear it was a navy blue dress with a white collar and a white belt. The dress went down to my knees it wasn't very tight in me. I went to go get ready i decided to not wear a lot makeup just like foundation and some mascara and straightened my hair with a lot of disapproval from my mom and my sisters from wearing high top white converse I did it anyway. We then got in our new car which smelt really nice then we followed the McDonough's to what looked like a country club. Please don't tell me they think they are all that.My mom and Ryan just talked to mr and mrs McDonough while Nina and I hung out with Riley Connor and Toby.

"So how are you guys liking Florida so far" Toby asked

"It's warm" I said then everyone laughed a bit we all kept talking and actually having a good time I decided to go check out the golf course and hang by myself and work on my swing. then I swung quite hard and I heard Riley say

"Please don't hit me"

"I won't I didn't even know you were there." I said embarrassed

"Here let me show you may I."

I nodded he grabbed my hands from the putter "now to get a powerful swing you have to " he kept talking but I just got lost in his voice

"Got it" he said

"Uh yeah I think so" i said

I swung and it was really bad like bad I looked at Riley and said

"Oops sorry Well i guess that means I really suck at golf"

"Step aside and watch the pro handle this" he said

Needless to say he lost the putter

"So Riley please don't tell me your one if those country club people are you"

"No! Definitely no"

"Then why'd you make your party here"

"I didn't I rather be watching some Netflix and eating pizza at home"

"My mom she thought it would impress people "

"Oh I understand"

Then there was awkward silence

"So what school do you go to" he asked

"It's summer" I said

"Yeah I know that what school are you going to go to"

"The one that's the closest to our neighborhood"

"Oh I went to that one"

"Went? I thought you were my age"

"18 my birthday is in August how old are you"

"17 my birthday is in November"

"By the way I like your hair the pink tips they look like Demi Lovato's

"Oh thanks" I started to blush

"They match your cheeks because your blushing"he said then we both smiled and I blushed more.

"Maybe we should go inside with everyone" I suggested

He nodded then we walked inside

I went over to sit at a table and Riley went over to his brothers it looked like they were going to preform "This song is dedicated to our new friends the Taylor's (my last name) especially to Lauren" Riley said then he winked then they started to sing a few songs

Then a girl sat next to me

"Hello my name is Natalie" she said in a high squeaky voice

" Hi I'm. Lauren" I said

"Your the girl Riley dedicated the songs to"

"Yeah"

"Well stay away from him we're dating so if you think you have a chance you must be crazy besides pink is out of season also your dress and haven't you ever heard of heels."

Then she left I was really sad with all that has been going on but I wasn't going to cry.

"Hey you okay I saw what happened" another girl said

"Not really"I said

"Im sorry here I'm Sydney" she said

"Lauren"

"Don't worry about Natalie she thinks she's all that all bark no bite"

We both kept talking and she cheered me up she turned out to be really cool and funny

"Hey how old are you" i asked

"15 you"

"17 your like one of the coolest teens ever"

"Thanks"

Then she started looking at Toby

"You like toby" I asked

"Is it that noticeable."

"Kind of "

"I've known him ever since elementary school and liked him"

"Why don't you tell him"

"I can't"

"Why not?"

"Because he likes Someone else"

"A girl named Mai "

"Are you friends with Toby or best friends"

"Best friends I told you since elementary school"

"One day you'll be together"

"Are you going to go to Orange Ridge (a/n random name)"

"Yeah"

"Cool we can hang out together and learn the way around the school"

-----Riley's POV------

While singing I looked at Lauren the whole time I saw Natalie talk to her oh great we broke up three weeks ago she can't get over it Lauren is so beautiful her hair looked so nice she's adorable. then I saw Sydney talk to her she has been crushing on her for the longest of time. Toby has been crushing on her too for a long time they just can't admit it its so cute. the rest of the night was fun the party was over at 9:00 pm then the my mom and dad really hit it of with Lauren's mom they went in one car home with Ryan and Toby,Connor,nina,Lauren and I in another. I took Lauren to her door "did you have a fun night?" I asked

"Yeah" she said

"I saw what happened to you with Natalie"

"Yeah what's up with her"

"We broke up 3 weeks ago she's still can't handle it "

"Oh"

"Don't worry I'm not a heart breaker or anything I'm like a big teddy bear"

She smiled

"So I guess this is goodbye" i said

"Yup" she said

I went in for a hug she went for a handshake the she went for a hug and I went for a handshake we ended up giving each other a high five "oh and by the way you we're really good up there tonight" she said

"Thanks bye" i said
