Okay so this one is going to be more of a rant because I have lots to say.

Now I'm an atheist. But I believe in things too.

I believe that there is good and bad. And even though the lines can be blurred, we must be able to tell the difference because we need to.

I believe that we should fight for ourselves and our beliefs. Because we should not have to be afraid to believe in ourselves or believe in something greater than ourselves, whether it be an idea or a religion. I don't want to be afraid to speak my mind just because I don't believe in god. I don't want to have to hold myself back because of who my audience is. I want to be able to be myself, and not have to show shards of myself to each person. I want to wake up in the morning ready to take on my day because I can and because I will.

And if we all just helped each other, maybe the world wouldn't need as much helping. Because I know our world is tough. We still have problems that plague us day and night. It could be social expectations, battle plans or something else. If everyone helped someone, the world wouldn't be in so much of a mess.

That said, our world is hard. I know it, you know it, we both know that our world is hard. No matter how far we've come, we still have a lot to fix. Because we fought before and can fight now. We know what's right. But for now, all I can do is preach on Wattpad, hoping one day enough people will see my words and understand that we need to do a couple things before we can change the world.

We need to appreciate the past. We spend so much time cursing it but we have to realize that our past got us to this point, and I'm pretty proud of our progress in many areas.

We also need to work on ourselves. To change the world we need to start by changing ourselves around. Confidence, self acceptance, and love make things actually a lot better. Start with the little things. Maybe compliment yourself once a day. You don't even know how much of a difference it could make.

Look at the beauty around you. This one is pretty cliche, right? But have you noticed how beautiful the moon is? Or how beautiful the night time is? Or how even the most everyday object has meaning? The whole world holds its own beauty and we should appreciate it.

This last one my grandfather always told me because he knows I'm much too harsh on myself. "Look at the funny side of things" he always told me when he saw the bags under my eyes or the strain I put on myself. But he is right. We take things much too harshly sometimes and need to find the silver lining. You got beat up? Ha, you weren't even trying and let them win. And maybe your body hurts but with a good soul and a strong will, you can do anything.
