Rachel "Ray" Parker: A new student at Padua High School. Ray is a pretty, talented and dynamic girl who is not afraid to speak up her mind. Apart from Jake, her best friend, she hangs out with Kat Stratford, with whom she has a lot of things in common, but, unlike her, Ray is somewhat more accesible.
Jake Peterson: Ray's best friend. Also a new student at Padua High School. They have been friends since they were 5 years old. He is a handsome, mysterious guy with a bad boy reputation, but deep inside he is kind and caring. He hangs out with Patrick Verona and they are quite good friends.
