"Hey babe, I don't know if it's too short of notice but I want you to meet my mom. Quavo is having a birthday party and the whole family is going to be there. Then the real party will be at the club the next day." Kirsh said while I was half sleep. This man knows good and damn well I'm tired I can barely comprehend a sentence.
Luckily I have a 4 day vacation so whatever he wants to do I'm down. Even though I don't do clubs.
"Baby did you hear me?" He said looking down at me.
I opened one eye and nodded. "Mmhm, yeah that's fine."
"Yo ass just sleep huh?" He said trying to move from under me.
"Stoooooppp! You're my pillow."
"You not even listening to me. You been sleep for hours."
"I worked graveyard shifts consecutively for the past three weeks. I'm just getting time off, let me sleep." He gave me a look. "When is the damn party?"
He smiled. "Tonight."
I rolled my eyes. "Seriously Kirsh? You want me to meet your mom tonight. What the hell am I supposed to wear? Now I gotta look cute and do something with my hair."
"I actually like it curly. You should keep it like that."
I chuckled. "My natural hair is wavy, not curly.. You lucky you cute. What time does it start?" I asked walking in my closet.
"I think they said 8:30."
I scrunched up my eyebrows and poked my head out. "Kirshnik it's 7:45 and you expect me to be ready by 8:30? Boy when I tell you, you owe me." I said grabbing my stuff and heading to the shower.
"I love you too." He said laughing. No wonder this dude brought this cute outfit with him. I got in the shower and cleaned myself. When I got out it was 8:00. I quickly put on my undergarments and lotion. I put on some jeans with a tank top and some heels. I walked out to see Kirsh sitting on the bed scrolling on his phone.
"Is this okay baby?" He put his phone down and looked at me.

He bit his lip and nodded. "You out here trying to be tempting my family members."
"I might find me someone with some money." I said laughing.
"Keep playing with me Kai, I'll beat you and that nigga ass." He said tying his shoes.
"Okay then big daddy. Let's go." He stood up and grabbed my hand as we walked to his car.
The drive there was filled with us talking about random things. When we pulled up he helped me out the car. We walked up to the building that was filled with music playing. Kirsh was greeting everyone with me beside him just smiling. You know when your man got like 50,000 people in his family and you can't keep up? That was me.
When we finally seen Quavo he pulled me into a hug.
"Hey fam. Happy birthday." I said handing him his present.
"Thanks sis. What up nephew?" He said dapping Kirsh. They started talking before Quavo broke my thoughts. "You met mama dukes and my sister yet?" He asked with his arm around me.
"No not yet. I'm waiting, but I'm lowkey hoping I can avoid it."
He laughed. "They cool people. Matter of fact, they over there. Aye nephew mama and them this way." I gave him a glare and he chuckled.
Kirsh grabbed my hand leading me to them as Quavo walked with us. There were two women talking to each other and then smiled when they saw us. Kirsh went to hug and kiss both of the women.
"Kaisa this is my mom Titania and my grandma Edna." He said pointing to the women. "Y'all this is Kaisa my girlfriend."
"Pleasure to meet you ladies." I said putting my hand out to shake, but they brought me into a hug.
"We're southern people baby, we don't believe in personal space. We like to hug. It's so nice to finally meet the girl my grandson has been going crazy over." His grandma said smiling.
"Yes, so how'd you two meet? Oh sit down baby, get comfortable." His mom said to me and I kindly obliged.
I sat down on a stool and Kirsh stood behind me. "We met through a mutual friend at a party."
"And what is it that you do Kaisa?" His grandma asked sitting across from me.
"I'm a nurse on a pediatric oncology/hematology floor."
They smiled at me. "And how old are you? You seem so young."
I laughed. "I just turned 23 March 23."
"It's her Jordan year." Kirsh said rubbing my sides.
"Oh so you're a couple months older than Kirshnik. Good cause he need a woman with a strong mind who can put him in his place." His mom said eyeing him.
I laughed and looked back at Kirsh who was smiling at us. I looked behind his grandma and Quavo was giving me a thumbs up.
"Aight guys, I'm going to go enjoy my girlfriend and introduce her to some more people." Kirsh said helping me off the stool.
I hugged his mom and grandmother. "Pleasure meeting the both of you."
"You too honey." We walked away and ended up outside by the pool.
"I thought you said you wanted to introduce me to more people." I said eyeing him.
"I lied, I wanted to get you alone. I told you they would like you." He said as we walked towards the pool house.
"Yeah, they're so sweet. I guess I truly didn't have anything to worry about." I said as he sat on the couch pulling me in his lap.
"You're the first girl I've introduced in a long time. I don't just let anyone meet them, but you're special."
"And why am I special?" I asked looking into his eyes.
"Because you're the love of my life. It's just different with you. Everything is always fun and chill. You're my best friend. When I'm away from you I get a little sad. I don't want to lose you, at this point I can't see my life without you in it."
I let a tear fall and he wiped it. "I love you."
"I love you too." He said kissing my lips. I snaked my arms around his neck as his tongue explored my mouth. One hand rubbed my thigh and the other caressed my face. He flipped us over to where I was underneath him and he placed sweet kisses on my neck.
I ran my hands through his dreads to pull him back up into a kiss. After about 5 minutes we heard Quavo's loud mouth. Kirsh sighed in annoyance as he got off of me. I fixed my pants and we sat next to each other as if we weren't doing anything. I laid on his chest looking as he scrolled through his phone when Quavo walked in.
He looked at us suspiciously. "Mmhm so y'all niggas wasn't doing nothing?"
"Nah man, we just vibing. My girl is a good girl, besides my momma and grandma is here."
"Anyways, come on we about to cut the cake." He said eyeing us suspiciously.
I laughed as Kirsh grabbed my hand leading me to party. We cut the cake and spent the rest of the time laughing with his family. I looked over at him as he talked to his boys. He looked at me and smiled kissing my lips making me blush as everyone made fun of me.
It was a great night, I'm glad I didn't stay in bed.
