19: Sending The Kids To Hogwarts

The cookout was a little less than a month ago. Today is the day that Draco and I are sending Raelyn, Thomas, Serena, and Scorpius to Hogwarts. This is Raelyn's last year and Scorpius' first year.

Harry and Ginny are sending James and Albus to Hogwarts this year. It's Albus' first year going to the castle. All of Brendan and Daphne's kids are going to Hogwarts this year.

Scarlett and Louis, the only ones not sending kids to Hogwarts, are sending Charisma and Angel to Beuxbatons. Pansy and Blaise are sending all of their children to Hogwarts this year.

We're all at Kings Cross Station in Platform 9 3/4, saying our goodbyes to the children being sent to Hogwarts.

I look over my four children going to Hogwarts and feel tears begin to water in my eyes. I wipe them away before anyone could notice them.

"Mum are you okay?" Raelyn asks.

I smile at my oldest daughter and nod my head. Raelyn rolls her eyes, seeing through my lie. I always get emotional at this time of year. I always get nervous and scared because anything could happen while they were away at Hogwarts and I wouldn't be there to protect them.

"Rae, we gotta board or were going to be late" Thomas says.

Raelyn nods her head. Draco, Narcissa, Tanner, and Morgana hug Raelyn, Thomas, Serena, and Scorpius for the last time until they come home for Christmas Break.

They board the train, leaving the rest of us on the platform. I look around and see Brendan, Daphne, and Margarey. I nudge Draco and point them out to him. He nods and we walk over to them, the kids and Narcissa following after us.

Brendan and Daphne see us walking over and smile at us. They nudge Margarey who turns and smiles at us as we walk over.

"Hey guys" Daphne says.

"Hey Daph" I said, hugging my sister-in-law.

I hug my twin brother and my mother. Tanner and Morgana hug their aunt, uncle, and grandmother.

"Hey, Narcissa" Daphne says, smiling at my mother-in-law.

"Hello, Daphne" Narcissa says with a smile.

"Narcissa, would you like to go get some tea somewhere?" Margarey asks.

Narcissa nods and they walk off together, talking like the old friends that they are.

"How does it feel not having any kids at home?" I ask Daphne and Brendan.

"Lonely. Now I have to deal with this oaf all the time" Daphne says, pointing at her husband.

"Hey!" Brendan says with a scowl.

Daphne, Draco, and I laugh. Tanner and Morgana are just standing there awkwardly.

The train begins to move so we all turn and face it. We all wave and I can see Raelyn, Thomas, Serena, and Scorpius in a compartment. Avalynn, Ares, Romeo, and Mandi are in a different compartment as we also wave to them.

Once the train leaves the station, the platform starts to clear out. The parents return to work and the younger siblings go back to school or their houses.

Brendan and Daphne leave the same time Draco, Tanner, Morgana, and I leave. Draco has to go back to work, he's an Auror, and I also have to go back to work. I'm the current Minister for Magic. It's a bit stressful but I really love it and couldn't imagine doing anything else. It's also kinda weird that I'm the boss of most of my friends and my husband.

"Daph, can you take Tanner and Morgana out for a little while?" I ask my sister-in-law.

Daphne's been a stay at home mother ever since Avalynn and Ares were born. And she hasn't gotten a job ever since all of her kids went to Hogwarts. She writes an occasional article for the Daily Prophet on newest Fashion trends but other than that she is unemployed. It's not like she has to work anyway, she's filthy rich.

"Of course! Children come with me!" Daphne says with a big smile.

Smiling, Tanner and Morgana go with their aunt and they leave Kings Cross. Brendan left a few minutes ago while Draco and I haven't left yet.

"I'll see you after work" Draco says, kissing my forehead.

"I love you" I say.

"I love you too"
