Another Way

  
   She was gone.
   Katelyn was gone.
The girl I looked up to, the girl who trained me.
And don't tell Aphmau or Kawaii-chan, or the guys, actually... don't tell anyone...
...she was my best friend.

And finally I could scream.

  KATELYN!

It didn't sound like my own voice, but that didn't matter, all I feel is anger.

  I feel it corseing through my veins and taking control of my actions, I take a step toward the slimy serpent who killed her like it was nothing. Like no one cared about her, and would miss her. Well I do!

  With this sacred object in the name of  the goddess Kimiko, Queen of the Wolves, you will be vanquished with this vessel.

   The words came out of my mouth but I hadn't said them and it wasn't my voice. But if this unknown entiny wanted to help me avenge Katelyn I was fine with being a 'vessel'.

    I held a scythe sideways in my outstretched right hand, I grabbed it with my left and spun it as I launched into the air and landed a slash across the serpents left eye.

  It screeches in pain and lashes out at me trying to gobble me up like Katelyn. I dig my scythe in its snout and land on its head. It shakes back and forth knock me off with a forward jerk and I can try and grab for edge of the boat, but I miss.

   Just when I think I'm doomed a hand grabs onto my wrist and pulls me up, Dante's navy eyes stare into mine.

  "We don't need a wet dog on our adventure Kim, but we also don't need a lone wolf your not in this," I wanted to hear what he had to say but the snake behind him drawing its teeth at my other friends made me jump into action.

   I sprinted up to the serpent and with a running jump I cut it's head off and landed on its back.

  Before I knew it though it disssapered from underneath me and I landed in the water. I floated on my back so I didn't drown. The odd feeling I had felt before dissipated and I felt heavier, like the weight or the world had just landed on my shoulders.

  "Hey anyone want to save your savior," I shouted up to the boat and saw everyone peer over at the same time, even Katelyn. Im staring to think it was all a dream and I dived over the edge in a blind rage. Naw why would I do that, that kills people. Well atleast people like me who don't know how to swim.

   "I got her," everyone said at once, and I heaved a heavy sigh. Here we go again, every time this happens there stuck in eternal jinx mode until they start fighting each other. Here's a quick synopsis.

Aphmau vs. Garroth= Aphmau because Garroths doesn't want to fight her

  Katelyn vs. Aphmau= Being reasonable ones they only do rock paper sissors against each other, Katelyn wins

  Katelyn vs. Laurence & Garroth= Winner is...obviously Katelyn

Katelyn vs. Dante= I love him and all but...he never stood a chance

Katelyn always wins, but for this occasion since Dante is new to this and all he thought it was a free for all. Let's just say Dante sleeps with the fishes tonight, don't worry I grabbed him on our way to the boat.

   "Alright first off what was that thing and how am I not dead," Katelyn said while wringing out her hair

  "Or more importantlllly, KIMMY THAT WAS AWESOME," Laurence says running up to me, picking up and spinning me, and luckily putting me down before I felt like throwing up.
