Chapter 8

"Hey man," Zach said coming between Justin and me, throwing his arms over our shoulders. "Hey Zach," I said smiling up at him. "Okay, how could you not tell me you guys are gay?" I shrugged and Justin laughed. "For real. I'm your guys best man." "I wanted to but you know, I was scared and what not," Justin said. We walked down the hall laughing and having a good time. "Hey Bryce," Justin said waving. He ignored him and kept walking. "Give him a minute to adjust. He isn't used to it." Justin nodded, but I could see the hurt in his eyes. 

Hannah wasn't at school today. I wish she was because I was going to go up and talk to her. It's easier to keep the secret. I learned to not talk about it. I might go to her parent's store today to see if she is there. I need to apologize for not talking to her. "Babe," Justin said wrapping his arms around me from behind. I turned around and kissed him. "I'm loving this." He smiled "Loving what?" I kissed him again. "This. I love just being able to be ourselves." Then he kissed me. "So am I." 

"My dad's home today," I told Justin when he said he wanted to come to my house. "So?" I shrugged. "I haven't told him." Justin grabbed my hand reassuringly and smiled. "We'll tell him together." 

"Dad, can we talk to you?" I asked sitting down in front of him, Justin by my side." He looked up and nodded. "What did you guys do?" Justin laughed. "Nothing, nothing. This conversation isn't about that." He nodded. "Dad, I'm gay." He did a small smile. "Alex I already knew that." Justin laughed. "How?" My dad motioned his hand up and down towards me. "Look at you." I looked down and laughed. "You're right. Aren't you disappointed?" My dad shook his head. "No, maybe I would like you to be more manly, but no I'm not disappointed." He then looked at Justin. "He your boyfriend?" Justin and I both nodded. "Good."
