POV: America
Update: Friday

"Hey girl, what's up?" I hear Marlee say beside me, taking me out of my trance.
"Oh nothing just thinking." I say turning to take a sip of my alcoholic beverage. I'm currently sitting at the mini bar while people are dancing left and right of me.
It's my reception and it still hasn't occurred to me that I'm now married to Maxon Schreave the King of Illea, and that makes me America Schreave the Queen.
"Your thinking of how Maxon's dancing with Kriss and not you." Marlee says reading my mind.
"Is it that obvious?" I ask her, she shrugs.
"Only because you're my best friend. Don't worry if he had feeling for Kriss don't you think Kriss would be queen?" She asks me. She has a point. I'm just overreacting she's right Maxon chose me.
I think I'm just irritated because we're married and we haven't had any time together since we kissed during the wedding. He hasn't even asked me to dance yet. That upset me a lot.
"Yeah you're right." I say and then a song ends and a man I've never met asks me to dance. I said yes and I get up and move to the dance floor. I kept dancing with different guys until someone tapped the current man I was dancing with to step back. He politely leaves and bows. I look at the interrupter of my dancing. It's Maxon.
"I think it's time we had a dance eh?" He asks me, and I nod. He sets his hands on my waist and we sway to the music halfway through the song he says to me in a joking manner,
"If I'm thinking correctly you were wearing heels earlier." I laugh. After dancing for a long time with so many people my feet got sore so I took my shoes off, leaving me barefoot.
"Huh I don't remember that. What kind of queen wears shoes these days?" I ask trying to contain my laughter. He quickly responds,
"Well not you it seems."
He then brings his lips to my ear and whispers quietly for only me to hear,
"It's hard to believe your the love of my life, my wife, and eventually the mother of my children. We're gonna have it all America Schreave." he says kissing my cheek and I blush and try to keep swaying to the music. I get on my tippy toes, wrap my arms around his neck, and kiss the corner of his mouth that now holds a smile.
"And I can't wait for you to be the father of my children Maxon." I whisper in his ear and then kiss him for real.

Eventaully the guests retire to their rooms and Maxon and I are still swaying to the music. That is until Maxon all of the sudden lifts me up and walks me up the stairs and into a two door bedroom. The king and queen suite. I haven't ever been in here because me and Maxon wanted to wait for the wedding to come in here because I wasn't considered queen, but when he was crowned king he wanted to wait for our wedding night to move quarters.
Maxon told the guards to stay away from our quarters on our wedding night. At first when he told me he said that I blushed and became embarrassed but now I'm grateful we get privacy for our night alone together.

End of chapter one.
If you want a more detailed scene comment below and if I get 5 comments asking for a detailed scene of their night as a married couple I will give one.
This is my first book I've ever published on Wattpad, and I would seriously like to know how I'm doing so please vote, comment, judge me, critique me, just anything so I can work out concerns, mistakes, and get feedback to make it a better book for you to read.
Please grammar and spelling mistakes please tell me. I have a weakness of accidentally switching from past to present so please tell me if you see an error.
I update every Friday but for now until I get this going I will update every chance I can, and if this story works out I will be writing more I have many fan-fiction ideas for Maxerica I'm waiting to share but this will only work if I get your feed back and not just to know you read it so please do me a solid and help me out.
One last thing I would like to know how you all feel about swearing. I imagined moments with swearing but I don't want to take it too far so comment on how far I can go so I can make it a better experience to read for you.
