Jeonghan leaned back into his chair, taking a deep breath he sighed; working over time was now like a habit, it was drilled into his routine. It wasn’t that he was a workaholic - he loved his holidays, vacations, sleeping in till noon, lazing around the apartment, he adored all that, but somehow he loved work more. He loved making people smile, and he loved the feeling he got when he watched the groom and bride stand by the altar smiling at each other, living in another world at that moment; and that moment to Jeonghan, was breathtaking. He also loved the rush of adrenaline in his nerves on the day of weddings he was responsible for. Planning every wedding for Jeonghan, was like living a new life, meeting new people, making sure people who loved each other found reasons to love each other more.
He loved his job.
“Hyung….”
Jeonghan was jolted out of his thoughts and smiled at Chan, who stood by the door holding a couple of files in his hands. Jeonghan felt bad for the younger boy, who was also his assistant, roommate and probably, best friend. It was mostly because of Jeonghan that he worked late, waiting for Jeonghan top wrap up his things, and Jeonghan would usually take his time to finish.
“Yes Chan?”
“Um, you’ll want to look into this…” Chan said, walking into Jeonghan’s office and placing the files on Jeonghan’s table. “This might be very important.”
Jeonghan glanced at the files and looked back up at Chan’s tired face; “You should go home, Chan.” He said, feeling guilty. “I’ll meet you later at the apartment anyway.”
“Please, Jeonghan Hyung, you are going to call me and ask me to pick you up later, let’s not argue.” Chan rolled his eyes and pointed at the files on the table. “You should really look into this.”
“Why? I’ll look at it tomorrow. I know you’re hungry and sleepy and grumpy, we should probably go home now.”
“No, hyung.” Chan insisted. “You should really look into this, this is more important than food and sleep.”
Jeonghan stared at Chan, that was probably the first time in …ever that he’d said those words - Chan had never put work ahead of his luxuries. Jeonghan glanced at the file; “Are you sure?”
“Hyung, please, it’s me.”
“Right.” Jeonghan picked up the file and flipped though the pages and his eyes grew wide when he recognized the name that was printed at the top of the page. “Is…is this…”
“That’s right…” Chan smiled with pride. “That’s Choi Finances, wanting you to help in planning their only son’s wedding.”
“No way.” Jeonghan shot up, running his eyes over the page once more. “No freaking way.”
“And they are coming to meet you tomorrow.” Chan said, pointing to Jeonghan’s appointment chart. “I knew you would be happy.”
“Happy?” Jeonghan laughed; “I’m ecstatic, this calls for a mini party, c’mon Chan, I’m taking you to your favorite restaurant.”
Tomorrow seemed like a bright day for Jeonghan, when he stepped outside of his office and saw the stars that decorated the skyline.
-
They looked strict, businesslike and like they had no sense of humor, which was exactly how Jeonghan had expected them to look.
“Hello…” Jeonghan greeted, mustering up his brightest smile. “I’m Yoon Jeo- “
“We know who you are.” One of them cut in, taking a seat opposite to Jeonghan’s and Jeonghan already knew he hated them. “So, we are here so you can arrange our kids’ wedding; I am Choi Jinho and this is my partner, Go Yongchul”
“Of course,” Jeonghan smiled at each of them. "would you like something to drink?”
“No. Mr. Yoon, I don’t think you understand how busy we are, we run international companies and we are not at a some kid’s party.” Choi Jinho snapped, his frown deepening.
Jeonghan’s smile faltered a bit; “Alright, I understand that you want me to plan your children’s wedding. It would be helpful if I actually met with to be groom and bride…”
“Of course…” This time, Go Yongchul spoke up; “We just wanted you to know that we’re hiring you so that you can plan the wedding and don’t worry about the finances, just go all out with the wedding, and the kids will be meeting you tomorrow.”
“Sure.” Jeonghan nodded and the gentlemen stood up, leaving as soon as they had given their business cards to Jeonghan.
“Tough bunch?” Chan asked, walking into Jeonghan's office.
“Meh..” Jeonghan shrugged; “They’re old.”
Chan grinned and sat down; “But you’re still planning their kids’ wedding, right?”
“Of course…they said they wanted the best of the country to plan this wedding…” Jeonghan said, spreading his arms out.
Chan cocked an eyebrow and watched Jeonghan; “Yeah, right. I believe you…” he said, studying the business cards on the table. “So, when are you meeting with the couple?”
“Tomorrow morning…”
“Oh good, so I get today off.” Chan smiled cheekily and before Jeonghan could protest, the younger boy was out of the earshot and out of the office.

The only thing that came to Jeonghan’s mind when he saw the young couple was how handsome they were. Jeonghan saw them standing by the gallery in the corridor, looking at the photos up on the wall. The woman said something, pointing to one of the photos and the tall man laughed loudly, poking her in the side. The woman squealed and tried to twist away when she spotted Jeonghan at the other end of the corridor.
“Hi…” The woman laughed, walking up to Jeonghan. “You must be Yoon Jeonghan, I am Na Ara…”
Jeonghan smiled, bowing slightly. “Glad to meet you…”
“And I’m Choi Seungcheol” The man introduced himself, smiling and the first thing Jeonghan noticed was a tiny mole on top of the man’s upper lip.
“Let’s sit down in my office…” Jeonghan suggested, gesturing to his office.
-
“Okay,” Jeonghan pulled out a notepad, once they were all seated. “…let’s not waste time. Usually most couples prefer a March wedding or a June wedding…are you all going for a February wedding?”
Ara laughed lightly and leaned forward “February?” She asked inquisitively.
“Yeah, two months from now….”
“Oh no, no, no..” Ara smiled, stealing a glance at Seungcheol. “…we want this wedding to be held two weeks from now.”
