This Is Merely The Beginning Again

A/N: I'm going back and making this fic better. I wasn't happy with how I had written it before. The chapter title is from Everybody by Logic.

Patrick's POV

Moving to a new place is cliche for the beginning of something, but that just so happens to be what's happening to me currently. I had been with this vessel for eight years for reasons I'd rather not discuss. There was one major pro to a new neighborhood; more opportunities to make deals. The amount of deals I've been making has been on the decline, so a new place with new people will help me to fill my quota. We had arrived at the new house several hours ago, now I was just waiting for the sun to rise. I have no need to sleep so I'm stuck waiting for hours on end to go to school, the prime place to make demon deals. I sat in the center of my bed with my legs crossed, I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply. I could feel myself begin to levitate above the bed as I meditate. I could feel the hours pass by, crawling slowly like a tortoise until finally, I felt the warm rays of the sun on my face. My eyes cracked open as I slowly sank back down to the mattress. Time to start the day.

I got up and moved over to the closet to find something to wear. I quickly decided on a fully black suit. I snapped my fingers and I was now wearing the suit. Sometimes I wonder what life would be like without my powers. I fix my hair in the mirror then snap my fingers once again to appear in an alleyway a block away from the local high school.

I stepped out of the alleyway and dusted myself off before starting down the street. Dozens of teenagers all walked from different directions towards the school. I entered the school and inhaled deeply, I could smell the sweat and desperation. This will be fun.
