Aomine sat at home that Saturday, watching Kagami study. He seemed so intent on finishing the quarter, he was even thinking of doing online classes the next quarter. Aomine had to wonder where Kagami found all this strength. He was here for Kagami of course, but it felt like Kagami was managing fine on his own. At least that's what Aomine thought until Kagami cursed and threw his textbook off the coffee table. Aomine rested his hand on Kagami's shoulder, "What's wrong?"

"What am I doing with my life?" Kagami leaned back against the couch, looking at the opposite wall. "I always just thought about basketball, I didn't think about what i would do if that didn't work out..."

"It's not like you have to decide that now," Aomine shrugged, "We're freshman."

"Yeah, exactly, we're freshman who don't have jobs because all of our time is spent on classes and the basketball team." Kagami looked at Aomine, tears forming in his eyes, "How the hell are we going to be able to have a family? We're freshman, that means we have three more years of this."

Aomine had to admit that the actual finances of raising a family was not an aspect he'd thought of. "We'll figure something out, it'll be okay."

Kagami couldn't stop the tears from spilling over, "Will it though? What if we can't do this?"

Aomine pulled Kagami into his arms, resting his hand protectively over Kagami's head, "Of course we can do this. We'll figure it out, one step at a time."

"I wish I had your confidence..." Kagami pressed his head into Aomine's shoulder. Aomine only wished he had that confidence too. These were all questions that Aomine hadn't thought of before, he didn't have answers to any of them. He knew he'd fight to have a family with Kagami, but it was becoming more and more obvious that it wouldn't be easy.

[A/N: I don't know why, I just felt like adding some angst! probably because I'm realizing (along with Kagami) that there's gonna be a lot of issues they'll have to overcome and it's not going to be easy for me to hit all of them either! xD]
