Troye Mellet has everything.
He was rich, his family was well-known, he was good looking and everything about him was perfection.
Well, at least that was what the others thought about him.
The truth was, the blue eyed boy have nothing to be proud of. Yes, he was rich and his family was well-known but he barely meet his family everyday and the only thing that his parents do was showering him with luxury and everything that the money can offer, not the love that he really need from them. That's why he tried to destroy himself apart so maybe, his parents would notice him and probably gave him some love. They never realised it though and Troye was getting worst and worst every single day. He became heartless, he even tried to harm himself; hoping that the pain could numb his broken mind.
You would be lying if you said Troye was not attractive at all. How could you resisted a blue eyed boy with pale, porcelain skin and soft brown curls, added with pink plump lips and beautiful voice? His imperfection like the birthmark on his left cheek or the freckles on his nose just make him perfect in his own, unique way. Its a shame actually that he doesn't love his own body and under the sleeves of his jumpers, where all the marks were hidden under it.
That's why when his parents decided to move from Australia to California, he doesn't really care about it. Its not like he has someone that he'll miss back in Australia. Of course he has some friends but not one of them was very close to him. He has Kayla who was his best friend since they were toddlers but Troye never understand the meaning of having a best friend. He never talked about the marks on his wrist or even his deepest, darkest secret to her and for him, she just a friend; which he doesn't have a lot of them.
He thought that everyone who tried to be his friend just trying to befriend the rich kid who seemed so cool so they could try to fit in with the society. Unfortunately, it was true. The other people who thought that they were his friends only cared about his parent's wealth, not about the feelings of the broken hearted and broken minded boy. That's why every time someone mentioned about his parents, he would feel sad which would turned into anger. He doesn't want people to know him based on his family name.
When he moved to California, he make some new 'friend'. Its Zoe, Joe, Caspar and Tyler. They were fine, nothing too exotic about them. Troye would sit with them at lunch and just absorbed the surrounding. The enviroment was still the same, just like back in Australia but maybe louder. The jocks and chearleaders would sit at the back of the cafeteria, the freaks were probably hiding in the toilet, eating just like in the other cliché movies, the nerds eating in the library while the populars chatted about pointless things. As he let his mind wander while picking at his half-eaten food, Zoe nudge him before he lifted his gaze to meet hers.
"What are you thinking about lately? You seem a little bit off." She said with a worried look on her face, the others just continued to chat. Troye shrugged at her words, not knowing how to answer her question properly with words. He's more into action than talking. Sometimes he would annoyed people with his attitude.
Suddenly, a face popped up in his head, making his eyes light up a little as he think about the boy that he saw that morning.
"Um Zoe, who's the one that was in our English class this morning?" He turned to look at her, who lifted her eyebrows with curiosity.
"Which one?"
"The one who read the lines from Romeo and Juliet?" She furrowed her eyebrows, refreshing the memories from that morning in her head.
"You mean Connor Franta?" She chuckled as if it was that funny. Troye stared into her piercing blue eyes with confused expression.
"What's wrong with him?"
"You know," She trailed off as she grinned. "Connor was totally the school's sluts material, your tipical high school bad boy, look tough on the outside but totally a cinnamon rolls on the inside, probably hate homosexuals since his friends used to bully an openly gay boy-"
"You sounded like you know him well." Troye interrupted her since she seems like she knows him more than anyone else. He was quite interesting for Troye and he really want to get to know this Connor guy more.
"Well, I used to be his best friend back in middle school before he befriend with Kian and the rest of them." Zoe sounded a little bit hurt but even though she tried to hide it, Troye still can see the sparks in her eyes dimmed a little.
"Oh." That's the only thing that Troye managed to say. Zoe just nodded before she continued to eat her sandwich silently; probably replaying back the memories in her head. No one ever know about Troye's sexuality yet and he doesn't plan to tell anyone either.
Even though Zoe said Connor was probably homophobic, he can't stop thinking about the green eyed boy. He really wanted to get to know this Connor guy more than just a stranger. But the question is, how? Of course a guy like Connor won't just befriend a new kid like Troye just like that and boom, they become friends. He must think of a way to reach the green eyed boy who managed to catch his attention; which was very rare for someone to do so.
"Hey Troye, you said your parents aren't home right? How about we throw a party for you since you just moved here?"
