I was on top of the building--again.
Who am I going to meet tonight? I wondered.
I shivered, and looked down to see I was wearing my/Mom's prom dress.
I looked over the edge of the building, but there was...nothing. I heard shuffling behind me and...
"Duck!" I was tackled by a girl around my age. Her hair was blonde, and she wore a tattoo of three birds leading from her nick to her heart...
Tris...
Of course...
If you haven't read or seen Divergent, well...Tris is the main character.
"Stay down!" she ordered, standing.
I turned over onto my back, and saw the fog thicken, making it almost impossible to see ten feet in front of me. A knife wisped past Tris's head.
I sat up, and wondered who threw the knife.
Some story book villain, obviously...
President Snow came out of the fog, and gave Tris the death stare. She quickly looked over at me, then at Snow. He pulled out another knife, and aimed it at Tris...
But at the last second, he changed directions, and...
I looked down and saw the red of my blood cover my dress. I didn't feel anything, yet I knew I was dying (if you can die in dreams...). Tris punched the distracted Snow in the eye, and pushed him over the side, then rushed over to me.
I was lying down now; trying not to look down. She kneeled down beside me, and put her hand on my forehead. I looked up and saw fear in her eyes. She closed her eyes, bowing her head, but when she reopened them, her eyes had changed colors.
They were the color of Creed's eyes...
My eyes widened, and I then started feeling a pinching at my heart, whether from the change in her eyes, or the knife in it, I knew not.
She kissed her first three fingers, and held them in the air...wait. That was what Katniss's thing.
What kind of weird things were going on in my head?
.................................................................................
I awoke on my own, tucked away in bed. The memories of the night before flooded into my mind.
Flashback:
I arrived at home, weary and wet.
"Oh my gravy!" exclaimed my mother, as she past me. She doubled back, and her hands flew up to her mouth.
"Mom," I chocked, sobbing. I couldn't keep the tears in.
She pulled me into a hug, and whispered, "What happened, honey?"
"I-" I couldn't say it. I didn't know how to say it.
"Let's go get you dried off," said Mom, pulling away and leading me upstairs.
I shimmied out of my gown, and crawled into my pajamas silently. Mom looked at the dress, sadness in her eyes.
"Mom," I started. I explained everything to her, including what Bella had said about Dad. Her face turned pale once I got to the 'Dad' part, and mumbled something about hanging the dress to dry.
