Author's Note: Hey guys! Just a little FYI, the dates on the last chapter were wrong. It turns out I was looking at an April 2014 calendar instead of 2029. Fortunately, I have changed the dates so they are now correct.

It's now been a week.
April 20th.
Dad got out of the hospital today. I won't be going to the party, which made Creed pretty happy.
But I still have to battle through Prom.
Ugg.
I haven't had any of those weird dreams in a week now-knock on wood.
Yeah...
"Roth!" yelled my mom from downstairs. I looked up from my journal (not a diary-journal), and yelled back, "What?"
"Are you awake?"
No. That's totally why I'm talking to you.
"I believe so!"
"Don't have that attitude with me, young lady! Come down here and eat your breakfast!"
"I'm coming!"
I shut my journal and stuffed it under my mattress. I walked downstairs to find Dad on the couch watching TV.
"What ya' watchin'?" I asked, plopping down beside him, but being careful not to hurt him.
"Fantastic Four," He replied, smiling.
"Ooo I like this one. Is it the first or second movie?"
"The second."
"I like this one best. I love Silver Surfer."
"Mm hmm. So, I hear Prom is next Friday, eh?"
"Yup," I sighed.
"I thought you liked dances."
"I do-it's just Prom is a fancy dance."
"So you don't like formal dances?"
"Uh huh."
"I thought you liked dressing up?"
"I like dressing up-in costume. I don't see a point in buying a fancy new dress that I'll probably never wear again. Not to mention I don't have a date."
"Mm," he replied, looking over at the me, then back at the screen. "So then why are you going?"
"I dunno," I said honestly. "I guess I just want to see what it's like."
"I understand." He smiled at me, and nodded.
I smiled back. I loved talking with my dad. He's practically my best friend (besides Creed-have you noticed I have a lot of classifications of best friends?).
We ate supper as a family that night; I loved it when we did that. We had my favorite meal: spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread, peas, and butterbeer.
Yes, I said butterbeer.
If you haven't read Harry Potter, and have no clue what it is, it is this amazing drink. And no, it doesn't have alcohol in it (implying butterbeer), unless you put it in there. How our family makes butterbeer, is basically, make a cream soda float.
