I grab Creed by the arm and drag him into the closet, trying to be as quiet as possible. I heard the door creek open, and saw a third shadow enter the room through the crack of the closet door.
"Uh, hey Mom," said OC nervously.
"Is there someone else here?" I heard April ask.
"No, not that I know of."
"Are you sure? I could've sworn I heard someone else in here."
"I'm sure, Mom."
There was an awkward silence, then I heard April exit the room and close the door behind her.
"The coast is clear," I heard OM say.
Creed and I filed out of the stuffy room and I put my hands on my hips. "So," I said. "What are we going to call each other since there are multiple of us?"
We looked around at each other, shrugging. "Well," said OM. "Roth, we can call you Suzanna or Sue or something."
I made a face. "Why me? I don't even like that name."
"Hey, you were the one who came into our world."
I sighed. "Fine. Call me Sue. It's a lot better than Suzanna."
OM nodded and smiled, like she knew why I picked the name, which of course she did. I wanted to be called Sue instead of Suzanna because in the Fantastic Four, the Invisible Woman was called Sue, so it had something nerdy to do with it.
"Now you guys," said OM, or Roth. Whatever you want to call her.
Creed shrugged. "I guess you can call me Creedence. Or James. Whichever."
James is his middle name, if I haven't mentioned that already.
"You look more like a Creedence," I commented. "But if you don't have a completely different name, it sill might get confusing."
"Fine. Call me James then."
OC nodded in agreement.
"It's settled then," said OC.
Right at the same time, me and OM's phone started ringing. It was our mother. I hung up. She was probably wondering where I was, but I would have to call her later. When OM wasn't around to confuse me.
OM, on the other hand, answered her phone. I could hear their conversation in my head.
"Hey Mom."
"Roth? Where are you? We just got home and Tolkien says you're at Creed's."
"Well I am at Creed's."
OM rolled her eyes.
"Well why don't you come home now?"
"Why?"
"You know that game, Dungeons and Dragons, you and your dad have wanted?"
Her eyes lit up in sink with mine. "Yeah."
"We bought it today. We wanted to surprise you and your brother."
"Uh, well, I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything. Just be home as soon as you can so we can play it, okay?"
"I'll be there right away."
And she hung up.
"Mom bought us D and D?!" I screeched. (D&D is what some people call Dungeons and Dragons)
