Continuing chapter eighteen......
Devon followed LaTrece into the hospital. They went into the hospital and found Lamar's homeboys and Valerie sitting in the waiting room.
"Any news?" LaTrece asked.
G shook his head no. LaTrece sighed and sat down. Devon sat down beside her.
"Calm down Val. You pregnant! You don't need to be stressing." Reggie said.
"You pregnant?" LaTrece asked.
Valerie nodded. "I just found out today. Three months."
Valerie wasn't really showing, but if you look at her real close you can tell.
LaTrece smirked.
"Family of Lamar Long?"
Reggie, LaTrece, and Valerie stood up.
"I'm his sister." LaTrece said.
"Okay, well Mr Long was shot in the head. He lost of blood. He's unstable and unconscious right now... which means he's in a comma. He may wake up and he may not. Let's just pray that he does. All we can do right now is watch him closely." the Doctor said.
Valerie and LaTrece cried.
"FUCK!" Reggie punched the wall.
Devon grabbed LaTrece. "It's gone be A'ight ma!"
"No it's not! My brother..." LaTrece paused as a pain shot threw her stomach.
"Calm down before you start stressing." Devon said.
"You straight?" Kenny asked.
LaTrece nodded.
"Well, we bout to spazz out. We got bidness we need to tend to." Reggie said.
The boys left.
"You okay?" Devon asked.
"I'm good." LaTrece lied. "I'll come back tomorrow to see him. Going home with me Val?"
Valerie nodded.
"I'll come too." Devon said. He hugged LaTrece.
"Okay."
LaTrece and Valerie left. When they made it to LaTrece's house, LaTrece fixed them something to eat.
"You think he'll be alright?" Valerie asked.
"I pray that he do!" LaTrece said.
LaTrece's phone rung . She answered.
*Phone conversation *
LaTrece: Hello
??? : LaTrece!
LaTrece : Who's this?
??? : It's momma baby. It's me. Gina !
LaTrece : Stop playing on my fuckin' phone
???; It's really me! Baby it's me
