Poetry can be anything you want it to be
Because poetry is art
Art is beauty, or pleasure
Communication at one of its most pure forms
Because it can be abstract
Or it can paint a beautiful landscape
With details covering every inch,
Still retaining meaning
But
With art
You can, inadvertently confine yourself to
the page,
the canvas,
the marble,
the wall.
I, myself have placed myself on the page, the screen.
Yet you still create something wondrous within those "boundaries"
That is, in a sense, what to create art is. But poetry is not just art.
It is also literature
Which is art
And art
Is literature
One and the same,
Yet intricately different enough
To be similarly unique
