Within twenty minutes, Adrian had finished breakfast- simple eggs, toast, and bacon. Adrian shoved dirty pan's into the sink after making two plates, putting the rest into bins and putting it in the fridge for later use. "Breakfast is done!" Kenny made his way into the kitchen soon after that. The teen stretched lightly after taking off his parka and slinging it over a chair. Adrian set Kenny's plate in front of him, setting her own down on the table a moment later; sitting down acrossed from the blond haired teen.

"You'd be the perfect housewife~" He complimented. Adrian jokingly rolled her eyes, a light shade of pink covering her cheeks. They finished their breakfast quite quickly- both of them wanting to meet the aunt that was soon to come. Adrian had already turned on the water to do the dishes when a knocking at the door was heard. Kenny stayed at the table, playing video games as Adrian rushed to get to the door with a grin.

The teen's grin faded as she opened the door, having noticed the grim expression on her aunt's face. "Come in" Ushering her aunt and cousins into the house quickly, Adrian closed the door behind them before sitting her aunt down on the couch. "You guy's- there's a tree house in the backyard you can play in if you want-" She told her cousins, who were looking around the house in awe. "Don't leave the yard" She yelled out to them just as they ran out the back door, paying no mind to Kenny as they passed by him.

Turning to her aunt with a frown, she finally asked the question she had been dying to ask- "What happened?" Kimberly frowned, gaining interest into the floorboards for a moment. "It's your parents-" Adrian visibly paled, her blood going cold at the mention of her biological parents. "They uhm- They forged some papers and now they want to get you back" Adrian shook her head in disbelief. Was she going to be forced to go back to her parents? They couldn't really- just let her go back to her parents, right? There has to be some laws on this--

Tears brimmed her eyes, the teen covering her mouth with her hand to choke back a sob. "Why?" With that, Kimberly pulled her niece into a hug. Kimberly didn't know why Adrian's parents were like this, honestly. Was it the drugs they were always doing? Or was it because of their past? Whatever it was, Kimberly didn't care. The only thing she wanted to do was to protect Adrian and her kids.

Having heard the choked back sob from Adrian and the words of reassurance from the aunt he had heard so much about, Kenny walked into the living room- no doubt worried about Adrian. "Woah- You okay, dude?" He moved closer to the two, becoming a bit angry as he seen the tears running down her cheeks. Was this Kimberly's doing? If so, he was going to give her a piece of his mind. He didn't care that she was more older than him.

Wanting to change the subject to make her niece feel better, Kimberly gasped at the sight of Kenny and looked to her niece with a grin. "Is this your boyfriend?" Adrian wiped her face with the side of her sleeve, flustered over the question. Kenny took a seat next to Adrian, shaking his head. Oh how he wished he had his parka to hide the slight blush that was forming. "You two would be cute together" Adrian's cheeks became a darker shade of pink at that.

Wanting to change the subject, Kenny spoke quietly. "So what were you guy's talking about?" He moved closer to Adrian unconsciously, protectively wrapping his arms around her.

"Noth-" Kimberly interrupted Adrian before she could finish, speaking over the teen then. "Her parents are being assholes" Adrian huffed, disliking the fact that she was interrupted. Being cut off mid sentence was one of the many things her parents used to do whenever she had tried defending herself, after all. Rolling her eyes at her nieces antics, Kimberly continued. "Adrian's parents were highly abusive- and they didn't enjoy the fact that she got emancipated" Kenny frowned, disliking where the conversation was going. Adrian furrowed her eyebrows in thought, becoming angry with herself. She never liked letting people know much about her, even if she was sharing it with someone like Kenny. "They hired someone to track Adrian down and to forge papers so they could get her back" Kenny hugged Adrian a bit tighter, already deciding to protect the teen- even if it meant bringing back Mysterion.

"What lengths would her parents go to get her back?" Kenny questioned. "The last thing I heard from them was that they're planning to come here if their first plan doesn't work- but other than that I don't really know other than knowing that thy;re into some deep shit." Kimberly explained.

Adrian pried herself from Kenny's arms with a huff, getting up from the couch. "I'm going outside" Kimberly nodded a small bit in understanding. Kenny got up right after "I'll come with-" Kimberly pulled him back onto the couch. "We're having a talk" Of course, it was only going to be about Adrian's feelings and what she was going to do if Kenny were to hurt her niece. Adrian offered a small smile to her aunt as if to thank her before walking out of the house.

The teen smiled at the sound of yells of happiness and laughter from her younger cousins, seeing the children running after each other in a game of tag. At the sight of their older cousins, they stopped in their tracks and made their way over to Adrian quickly. "Sissy!" Sara wrapped her arms around the teen's waist, capturing her in a hug. Blaine and Ethan stayed back a way's away with large smiles crossing their faces.

Adrian gently patted Sara's head, a large smile replacing the grim look she once had. "C'mon, you guys" Sara pulled away from the hug before following the teen over to the tree house. Adrian waited for her cousins to climb up into the the house before climbing up it herself. Sara, Blaine, and Ethan were each leaning against a wall. Sitting down and crossing her legs, Adrian offered a warm smile towards her siblings. "So- What's your opinion on all this?" The teen questioned. Sara frowned, a few strands of her dirty blond hair falling into her face as she began talking. "It's really cool! I really miss home though-" Sara pushed the hair away from her face, frowning as she explained the last part.

Ethan spoke up after that. "It's awesome to be honest- It's nice to be away from home" Both Adrian and Ethan grinned. She was happy- Having someone around that looked up to her was pretty great, after all. "I agree with Ethan" Blaine commented, though he shivered right after. "It's really cold here though" He added.

"Lets go inside for a bit before you guys freeze" Nodding with only a few huffs of disapproval, the four made their way down the ladder and into the house, Kenny was in the living room watching tv while Kimberly was in the kitchen washing dishes. "You don't have to do that-" Adrian said, her arms crossed as she watched her aunt turn towards her with a sponge still in hand. "Yes I do" Kimberly argued.

Adrian huffed, knowing that continuing the argument would be pointless. "Fine- I'll start lunch" Kimberly nodded, content with the turn of events. Grabbing a pot and filling it with water, she put it on the stove to boil. With that, she left the kitchen. Adrian flopped down onto the couch next to Kenny with with a loud sigh.

Kenny glanced over at Adrian, moving closer to her and letting her use his shoulder as a pillow as they quietly cuddled.
