                                  Katerina's pov

        When I woke up I was laying in a field of moon lace which was odd because they were extremely rare and only appeared on the night of the full moon. Entranced I cupped one of the pale silvery blossoms it was truly beautiful no one had seen one in years. Suddenly, the petals of the flower opened blooming in my cupped palm causing a small smile to grace my lips. A voice startled me my head snapping up and away from the flower as she spoke I instantly calmed " Do not be afraid, the Moon cares for all of her children and I do not wish to harm you." So this is the moon goddess ... " Yes child we do not have much time, come  follow me there is something I must tell you." I started to panic the situation setting in I was with the Moon goddess was I dead ? I don't feel dead! " Peace child it is not your time now come along you will wake up soon we must hurry." So naturally I followed her relieved but curious as she lead me through the field and into the moon light. " You are a descendant of the moon, the daughter of a Collins and his mate therefore you are strong,stronger than you could ever imagine. The females in your family inherit gifts from the moon because they are of my blood you too will inherit gifts. There is a prophecy that one day there will be a war across the land. Your powers will be great, You must choose the light or the war will end in chaos and death. You must be brave my child more trials come your way, you must not give up. " Her voice was gentle but stern moonlight illuminating her features as the world seemed to tilt on its axis. I fell to the ground in the moon's rays she smiled "Until we meet again child."sadness laced her voice as she spoke the words and I couldn't help but frown as I fell into the darkness. Something tells me that our next meeting won't be so pleasant...
        When I woke the second time tingles shot through my body and I gasped a whine escaping my lips as I snuggled closer to the tingles. My body felt like lead, and my eyes felt like they were glued shut but I felt better than I had in years. Slowly I became aware of my body, of someone's hand wrapped around mine and a body pressed into my side. The tingles seemed to be coming from the person who was currently snuggling me... Wait who the heck is snuggling me  I shot up successfully falling out of the bed and onto the floor. A worried Xavier appeared peering over the bed " Katerina are you okay are you hurt ? What happened why are you on the floor." He stared at me dumbfounded for a moment before realization lit up his features " Kitten your awake!!!!." Using his super speed, he picked me up and onto the bed placing me securely into his lap I stared at him shocked as he rocked me in his arms. "I'm so sorry it's all my fault I should have stepped in sooner, I should have ripped him to shreds for touching my mate." His voice sounded hysteric and the tingles intensified every where his skin came in contact with mine. " Xavier baby shhh love." I turned around straddling him wrapping my arms around him tightly as I quieted him. " I'm okay I'm a werewolf remember baby I heal fast." By the time I had finished speaking he had buried his head into my neck nuzzling into me like there was no tomorrow.  The big bad scary vampire is a teddy bear ?  Xavier huffed" I am not a teddy bear , I am a vampire kitten." " Says the vampire who is currently snuggling me and letting me hold you like a teddy. " I said giggling at his antics " Your warm and comfortable and you smell nice." he replied sounding like a love stricken teenager even though he is twenty years old, and six feet tall.

    Absent mindedly I began running my fingers through his hair as he explained to me that I had only been unconscious for a day and that Luka was gone, presumably feral. I was shocked to say the least, Luka's wolf did not seem to be stronger than his human side Aniken never took control while he was beating me. But that did not matter now I was with my real mate who at the moment was staring at me some unknown emotion clouding his eyes. They flickered from red to blue as I stared into them he seemed to be fighting against himself and I knew which side would win. The bond between us hummed with electricity " Zander wants to mark you I've been holding him back but I don't know if I can much longer his instincts are primal at the moment. Soon I will not be able to control him you have to tell me what you want." He said as he skimmed his nose along my neck placing chaste kisses on the sensitive skin." If you are going to stop me you need to do so right now Katerina." His voice was strained and husky causing me to let out a soft moan I wanted to belong to him and I had no intention of stopping him. " Don't hold back anymore Xavier." I said breathless baring my neck to him so that he could continue his assault. Obeying my command he began sucking on the juncture between my neck and shoulder eyes the color of blood. I shivered as his teeth gently scraped along the flesh goosebumps rising in their wake " It will only hurt a minute." He said as he sunk his fangs into my neck Agony washed over me setting my whole world ablaze for a moment. Then almost as abruptly as it came it ended just like that and pleasure over took the pain. His fangs left my neck sliding out smoothly as he gently licked the two puncture wounds clean. My canines elongated piercing his neck and completing the bond. The mate bond was almost complete.
