It was morning, just the break of dawn, not a hero was awake nor a den mother around. Robin was actually sleeping and somehow Wally was sleeping next to him, hand wrapped around an unopened lollipop when the Zeta Beam generator kindly shattered the silence with the rudest of awakenings.

"Speedy B06."

"Red Arrow, dammit! It's like you guys don't even care!"

Dick pried one eye open as Roy stepped into the room, tripping on a stray pillow and falling to the soft, bird friendly floor while muttering curses. "The hell is this?"

"So..." the bird started.

"Don't even." The archer glared at him as he got up.

"Okay." Dick flashed him a smile. "Can we go to the mall?"

"Look here Dickie," Roy walked to him, careful not to trip on bubble wrap. "I just downed an entire pack of acetaminophen and antirabies, I want to sleep, not go shopping."

"Oh, okay." The thirteen year old frowned. "But... Ace doesn't have rabies..."

Roy stared at his brothers, deciding not to explain what had even happened. "Why is Wally sleeping on you?"

"He thought I'd escape or try to sneak away or something... Ridiculous." Dick shrugged, tugging at his best friend's ginger hair. "So, why are you here... Is your arm covered in-" the bird narrowed his eye suspiciously.

"I was attacked by a pack of dogs okay?" Roy looked close to tears. "A pack of vicious, scary, monstrous dogs."

"Okay..." Dick gave his brother a sympathetic pat on the arm. "Can we go to the mall though?"

Roy looked up at the boy. "What's with you and the mall today?"

"M'gaan got that water dispenser from the mall." The thirteen year old grinned.

"And?" Roy raised his hands up in frustration. "I'm not a bat, you know I can't understand half sentences."

"The disease I'm infected with is waterborne."

"Robin, it was this same type of talk that got me mauled by dogs!"

"Okay, geez." Cue the eye roll from Dick. "Batman came last night."

"And?"

"He told me some stuff."

"Has that man gone mad!" Then cue Roy grabbing Robin by the shoulders and shaking him like a baby's rattle.

"Um, no?"

"Then why did he give you a lollipop?"

Silence.

"Because I wanted one?"

Silence.

"That is madness."

"Roy, I think you should calm down."

Now, five minutes later, Roy was sitting next to Robin's bed, arms crossed with a frown on his lips. "I am calm."

"Okay." Dick raised his hands up in surrender with a coy smile playing on his lips. "Did you sleep well?"

Roy's eye twitched. "You annoy me."

The boy snickered. "You love me."

"So M'gaan's the one that got you infected?" Roy asked, his frown deepening.

"Well..." Robin started just as another voice cut him off.

"No, she didn't." Dick and Roy turned to the man standing in the doorway.

"Dad!" Robin pointed his fingers at Batman. "What's up?"

Roy sighed. "You just had to give him sugar."

"Apparently, he didn't open it." Bruce turned to the Archer after staring at the snoring speedster in the room.

"You know that even the thought of sugar can get him excited." Roy pointed out.

"Did you sleep well?" The bat asked the teen in retaliation.

"Why do I feel like you're smirking under that cowl?" Roy muttered, tempted to glare at the man but remembering that Batman was scarier than Ace, decided against it.

"Because he is!" Dick laughed.

Roy frowned at Bruce. "You know, if you wanted to get rid of me last night, you could have said so."

Bruce stared at Roy. Dick stared at Roy. Wally kept on sleeping.

"Okay!" Roy broke under the pressure. "I wouldn't have stayed, c'mon! Just stop bullying me!"

"Alright, Dick wake Wally up," Batman said with a satisfied grin. "We are going shopping."

Dick and Roy watched Batman's cape swish around as he walked out the door even though there was no wind. "How does he make everything look so damn cool?"

Dick shrugged, answering Roy's question with only three words. "He is Batman."
