Chapter 2:

Summer's POV

He clenched his fist as he turned so I could see the front of his slender figure. "Where. Were. You?" He asks me, taking a step toward me with each word. I could see his cigarette in his hand, still afire. "I was... Out." I answered trying to sound confident but completely backfired. "With Who? With that Kai boy again?" He stretched out Kai's name, as if he was disgusted of him.

He should take a look at himself, them we'll see which one is disgusting. I suddenly realized I had said that aloud as he sickly smiled at me. "You know what else is disgusting? The burn I'm going to give you with my cigarette." I started to run up the stairs I trying to get away from the demon I have to call my father.

Just as I was nearing the first step I was harshly pulled by my arm down to the ground. I shut my eyes from the searing hart and pain from the tip of the cigarette. My father laughed at my reaction and slapped me across my right cheek, leaving a very noticeable mark. "You gonna go out again?" He asked, spit landing near my ear as he coughed from the smoke of the cancer stick. "N-no." I stutter out, trying to tear my eyes away from the red ring he had left on my forearm. "I don't think you've quite learned your lesson, Summer." I looked into his eyes and saw pleasure. He was pleasures from my pain and agony? What a monster.

He slapped me across my right check again, making my bruise seem more red than before. He punched me as I stumbled back, falling onto the glass dinner table, making it shatter beneath me. "Tsk tsk tsk Summer. Mistake after mistake after mistake. Do you ever learn?" He mocked me as he walked towards the kitchen. I smelt the familiar smell of blood pouring down my lip. "Clean this mess up unless you want another beating!" He demanded. I bent down and picked up the shard of glass, feeling the sharp edges stab and cut my delicate fingers. I hissed at the pain but continued working.

The idea of running away was getting better by the second.
