It's early 1964, and the radio was blasting the song I Wanna Hold Your Hand by the famous pop idols The Beatles. The song echoed around Phil's house. Honestly he was a big fan of the world famous band and Paul McCartney was a lovely piece of eye candy.

Phil was quickly pulled out of his thoughts when he heard a knock on his door. He wasn't really expecting any visitors. He quickly undid the lock on his door and it opened with a small creak, and it revealed a shivering Tyler.

Tyler Oakley has been his friend ever since grade school. When they first met it was only because of their sexuality, Tyler always got bullied for coming out as queer (which was very brave considering the world was against them). Phil was queer but he never came out to anyone till he found Tyler. He came from America with his family and that made him even more intriguing to Phil.

"Hey! Aren't you gonna let me in!? It's freezing out here!" Tyler budded into Phil's thoughts. "Heh, sorry come on in." Phil stepped to the side to let his best friend in. " So did ya get the job at the Library?" Asked Tyler. "Yeah, I start the job tomorrow! I'm super excited!"
Exclaimed Phil. "I hope you know Phil, that you can't just Check out all the Beatles and Edgar Allen Poe books." Said Tyler jokingly with a
slight chuckle.

"I know, I know." Replied Phil waving away Tyler's comment. "I can't help that Beatlemania hit me just as hard as it hit all the birds!" "I mean I don't blame you but I grew up with Elvis, and that's who I'm sticking to." Said Tyler with a grin plastered on his pale face.

"Hey, ya wanna go to the park for a while I'm feeling kinda cramped in here." Suggested Phil in a tone that made it seem more appealing. "But it's freezing outside Phil!" Whined Tyler. He was making his lip slightly tremble. "Fine then I'll go all alone, sad, depressed, cold-" "Alright! Alright. I'll go...Jesus." Interjected Tyler.

The two friends put on their coats and  walked out the door. A comfortable silence fell over the pair. They were both relaying their childhood spent with each other. The cold wind gusted against their pale faces turning their noses a light pink. The grass crunched against their feet as they silently continued onto the park.
