"I told him to get biscuits! We have plenty of bloody milk!"

Those were the first words Dan woke up to. Dan arose from his bed and sat there contemplating on what he'd tell his mum.

He placed his hands on his face. "Oh my bad mum I might have gotten to distracted by some man who not only is going to be my librarian but he's also a man I sure as hell fancy," dan mumbled.

Five minutes passed when Dan decided it was time to make his way downstairs.

To Dans surprise his Dad was sitting at the dining table reading the newspaper with a plate of eggs and toast in front of him.

"Morning, Daniel." His Dad spoke without taking his eyes off the paper.

"Morning" Dan replied, his voice sounding tremulous.

He saw as his Dad put down his paper and raised a brow at Dan. "What have I told you about speaking to me like that."

Dan straightened up his posture. "Good morning, Sir." He said sounding more orotund.

"That's better," the man told him giving him a pat on the back. "Now your mother has something to tell you," he wants
looked around and gave Dan a smile. "But don't worry it's not that big of a problem I'll be going by the store to get some for her." He whispered.

Dan said nothing and nodded. His mother came out of the kitchen with a stern look. "I thought I made myself clear enough that we needed biscuits not milk." She said.

Dan couldn't help but think on how this whole thing was stupid. She never ate the damn things. His Dad and him were the ones that ate them once in a while.

"Yes ma'am. I made a mistake. I just happened to get distracted with the cold weather and not having enough rest." He hoped she would just end the conversation here so he could go to the library.

"That's fine I understand," He sighed in relief. "but I need you to clean the dishes and sweep the floors." Dans shoulders slumped but regretted it as soon as he did.

"Daniel James Howell, you think you have no responsibility in taking care of the house? Your Dad and I work hard to have a roof over our heads and maintain it clean too. All you have to do is go to school and take exams." She yelled at him.

"Yes ma'am I'm sorry."
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The familiar sound of a bell went off as he entered the library. He was glad he was here now and not with his mother.

After having to hear his mothers rants he finished his chores. That wasn't what made him come here later than expected.

Dan spent a whole hour and a half fixing his hair and finding something to wear. He felt nervous. It's not like the librarian hasn't seen his "I don't give a fuck" looks.

With the thought set to mind he managed to find a nice grey sweater that went over a collar shirt and some khaki pants.

He took a look around hoping to find the librarian. "Good evening sir, is there any specific book you may be searching for?" A yelp escaped Dans mouth.

He turned around and found exactly what he was looking for. "Oh hi, I'm sorry about leaving  like that yesterday. My friend was expecting me and I had to leave." The man said.

"No, no need to be sorry it's fine." said Dan as he waved his hands as if to tell him to shake it off.

Both of them didn't say a word after that, they were to busy  studying each other to notice the other one doing the same.

Dan payed attention to what the man was wearing, a long sleeve collar shirt similar to Dans, a thin black tie, a black vest to match the tie, and a pair of dress pants. It suited him well, not to tight and not to loose.

He looked at the mans face taking notice that the man was also staring at him.

Dan cleared his throat "Yesterday, you never told me what your name was."

The man looked down and pointed at a white tag that read 'Phillip L.'
