"Ya know, I've been curious about something, since the time we arrived."
"Hmm?"
I picked up my head slightly from where I'd been looking down on my desk, signalling for Furea to continue.
We were up in my room; Me sitting at my desk, idly doodling on a crumpled piece of paper, while making small talk with Furea who, currently is sitting on my bed looking out the window, tracing patterns on the condensed glass. It quietly snowed outside, covering the front yard in a thick white sheet of snowflakes.
Snow makes everything look pretty in this cruel world. Winter is the season that shields us from the reality with its snow. Only temporarily.
"Thanksgiving is about being with the family and all so I...wonder if you actually talk at the table when you sit down to eat," Furea says in amusement.
I roll my eyes. Am I really that socially awkward?
"That's cold, Furea," I feign hurt and childishly pout.
She laughs and lays back on my bed.
"You know what I'm wondering? Who told you, you had free reign over my bed to lay down and act all comfortable in it."
She laughs out loud some more, "Me, your highness. I don't follow your rules. Send me to the dungeon!"
I smile at our playful banter. I appreciate moments like this with Furea, where we can just freely sit around and just talk.
It is Thanksgiving today after all; And after what happened earlier with Sasuke, I could really use some cheering up.
Right now, my parents are downstairs preparing the food and the table for our feast.
Its kind of funny. Furea offered to help, but my mother insisted that she spend time with me instead until dinner was ready.
And I felt a little to happy at the fact Furea agreed.
"Why do you call Sasuke 'teme'?," Furea asked suddenly, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I shrugged. "No reason...just a habit from childhood."
She gasped over-dramatically, "You were cursing as a child?!"
I raise a dark eyebrow, "Who didn't? And it just means 'Bastard'. After all, Sasuke still calls me a dobe."
She shakes her head and laughs some more. "True."
"You ask too much questions, you know that?"
Furea looks over at me, "And never give enough answers, don't I?"
With those words, the atmosphere switches to something, a little more gloomier. I stop smiling out of curiosity at her choice of words, and she looks at my ceiling.
