THE MYSTICS

THE NEW ENTRANT

   Ricky successfully dodged the bullets fired on him and frantically ran through the Riverside.

An ambush made him leave his territory and enter a jungle to save his life. He was on a mission to find the most precious antic named 'Rosita' but there were many opposers who never wanted him to find it.

He quickly climbed a tree and placed his bag on a branch. Before anyone could hunt him down, he needed to complete his mission even if it is his last one.

He peeped through the leaves . No voices were to be heard anymore. Maybe he successfully dodged the hunters.

Carefully placing his foot from one branch to another and wiggling the climbers through his hands, he came near the land surface.

The dusk was about to set in. He didn't have any time left. Without any further investigation, he took out a scroll . It was actually a map of the island he currently was in.

He assumingly located his position. Indeed,  he was really close to the ruins. Desperately, he tucked the scroll and started pacing towards the north.

Without much efforts, he discovered the ruins and decided to explore it himself.

But it was too late to declare his victory. He heard the voice of some footsteps. Maybe the hunters were still looking for him. Without much delay, he entered the ruins .

"Mystery!"

Ricky  made his way through the large stone craved door. The seal slowly opened  . A bright green  light pierced his brown eyes.

He was about to unravel the mystery. He shot a frantic run towards the light. But the more his approach fastened , the more he went down with the light.

It was like a never ending phase.  Every attempt to touch the light failed considerably.

He was panting by now. His legs had given up . It was like his body just had a sweat bath.  His heart was throbbing at a supersonic speed.

"Ricky!Ricky!"

Someone called out his name from nowhere. His pace ceased and he silently stood in the middle of the path.

" Ricky !"

The voice came again and hit Ricky's ears like thunder. He found the voice quiet similar. He decided to ignore the voice and concentrate on the mission.

He fastened his run and was about to catch up with the light.

But the light started to cease.

" No! Stop! I've to complete my mission!" He shouted.

But within a fraction, the light vanished. Ricky was lost in darkness. He felt his legs went numb. In no time his body crashed into the surface, making him loose his conscience.

"Ricky! I say wake up at once ! " someone demanded.

He woke up and started to analyze where he actually was .

Rubbing his eyes "Miss Rossie! What are you doing in the ruins?"

"This isn't your home ! This is a classroom! How can you even sleep at the first day of your school?" Miss Rossie put her hands on her waist.

Giggles and laughter occupied the whole classroom.

"What?!How is it possible ? I'm at the end of my mission. " Ricky jaw dropped in stupefaction.

"You're not on a mission! Right now you're in my history class. And snoring like anything else! " Miss Rossie crossed her arms ." And as your punishment you'll receive a detention. "
