THE MYSTICS

THE REASON

Sofia sat on the chair besides Ricky and was facing Leon. The room remained silent for some moments.

" Hey, Sofia ? "Ricky hung his hands behind his head.

" Yes, what's the matter?" Sofia glared at him silently.

" You know, I was just wondering why did you decide to join this club? "

" Well, the fact was that I wasn't interested in any  other club's activities. Moreover the clubs which I wanted to join were full. So this was my last choice you can say."

" You both seem to know each other well."  raised Leon as he closed the science book he held.

He wasn't paying heed to their talk but just raised out the question out of curiosity.

Nobody could ever make out  what goes on in his mind. He could pop out in any conversation without any invitation.

" Yeah . We met yesterday itself." Sofia answered.

" Actually it happened like .......................and  that's how I know him." She clasped her hands.

She narrated him the whole incident clearly. Filling the gaps which Ricky was too unaware of. Even minute details like the shade of the sky was also mentioned. This description took a toll of almost half an hour. Yes! Half an hour!

Though Leon seemed to be bored and least bothered about these details he used to nod his head with affirmation whenever Sofia stole his glare.

" Of course. It makes sense." responded Leon with a sigh of relief.

Ricky had already passed away. He fell asleep even before Sofia was explaining about her audition.

" Hey, Ricky wake up already! I'm done with my explanations." Sofia ordered him . Her frustrated look was clearly visible.

Her voice was loud enough to wake Ricky up. He stumbled down the chair and got hurt on his forehead.

" Hey, you alright?" Sofia asked in concern.

" Yeah, ya I'm fine ." answered Ricky as he managed to stand scratching his head from behind.

Leon smirked in amusement.

" Hey what's so funny,huh? "  Ricky shouted and  sat back on his chair.

But Leon ignored him like always.

Ricky frowned a bit and was about to say something. But Sofia's death glare was enough to stop him from starting an argument. So he gave up.

Sofia sat back on her chair with no further comments on the situation.

" Hey, Leon! What about you? How did you decide to join this club?"

This time Sofia raised the question.

This question excited Ricky to death." Yeah, I was going to ask you the same thing,you know."

" It's simple." started Leon " Yesterday I went to check out the notice board to know whether any club had vacancy or not. There I saw the poster of this club. It interested me. So ,..umm..here I am. I guess."

" That's all?"

" Yup. I had got only those under my sleeves." Leon stated.

" So what exactly is this club all about?" Ricky asked nonchalantly.

" Dunno. " answered Leon." But I hope it won't be time consuming."

Sofia smiled awkwardly at his statement.

" Maybe we should just have to find some "MYSTERIES"!!" Ricky poured out in excitement.

" Huh! Don't tell me lazy lads gonna do some work."  Leon smirked.
