Aria
It's my birthday today! I totally forgot. With all this moving, I couldn't think of anything else. It was now 7:30am. My mom usually let me wake up early on my birthday, so I got out of bed and walked downstairs. My mom was awake, and she was making me her famous pancakes. "Good morning, my birthday girl!" She said. I smiled and hugged her. She served me my breakfast, and we ate together. She asked me "so, have you told Harry yet?" She was talking about the divorce. I shook my head and said "I'm not ready yet." My mom told me "I know it's not something easy to tell people. I myself haven't been able to tell other people." "I guess we'll find the right time to tell people," I answered. I loved life with my mom, but sometimes I wondered how my dad was doing.

After breakfast, we heard a knock on our door. Harry's aunt, who I still don't know what her name is, came in and brought some cupcakes. "Hello! My name is Petunia Dursley!" My mom acted nice, although I could tell she already hated her. "Hello Petunia! My name is Alana Wilson! Are you the neighbors?" Mrs. Dursley smiled and said "yes! I came with cupcakes as a welcome present!" My mom answered "thanks! Are you Harry's mother?" Mrs. Dursley looked disgusted and answered "oh, dear, no! I'm his aunt. He's my nephew." I heard everything she said as an insult. She only stayed for a few more seconds, then left. I told my mom "those are the neighbors that don't feed Harry." My mom looked confused and said "but she made cupcakes?" I answered "they feed Harry the scraps of every meal, if there are any." My mom looked disappointed and said "why don't you invite Harry over for dinner today?" I smiled and said "ok!" I waited a bit, and then I went over to knock on their door. To my surprise, Mr. Dursley opened the door. "Hey! What happened?" I took a breath, and said "my mom wants to invite Harry over for dinner. Can he come?" The Dursleys thought long and hard about this, but then said "yes, he'll be right over." Harry looked annoyed with his aunt and uncle. I nodded and went back inside.

Harry
Aria's mom invited me to dinner? I'm very excited! But now I'll get the "no magic, no funny business" talk. Ugh. I don't even listen anymore, so when they were done talking, I just agreed and walked out. I knocked on the door, and Mrs. Wilson opened it. "Hi Harry, dear! Aria's upstairs." I nodded and walked upstairs. I had made a birthday card for her, and I was planning to give it to her. She told me her birthday was today. I walked in and said "happy birthday, Aria!" She turned around with a smile, and said "thanks, Harry!" She walked up to me and hugged me. I hugged her back and gave her the card. She read it:

Aria, we've only known each other for a day or two, but I wanted to wish you a very happy birthday!

Your friend,
Harry

P.S- I think I'm your friend

She giggled and said "you are my friend, Harry." I smiled and we talked about random things. After a few hours, I went home, since it was getting dark out. I walked back inside, and was sent straight up to my room. I saw Aria through the window, and she smiled. I smiled back, and wrote "Happy birthday" on a sheet of paper. She smiled and wrote "thanks" on a sheet of paper. At least it wouldn't be a punishment anymore when I was sent to my room.
