The Second Task

Harry
I woke up this morning, and remembered the Yule Ball. I smiled when I remembered my dance with Aria, and then got dressed for breakfast. When I got downstairs, Aria was sitting in one of the chairs. I walked up to her and sat next to her. "Hey," I said. She answered "hey," and then I said "last night was amazing." She agreed, and then we kissed. We went down for breakfast, and then she said "so, I've been going to the library with Neville, Hermione, and Ron to find how you'll breathe for an hour." I nodded, and she said "I think we need your help. It feels like we've all looked at the same exact books the whole time." We laughed, and then finished having breakfast.

Aria
We went to our first class, and it went really slow! After what seemed like an hour, we went to our next class. In Potions, I felt my eyes shutting. I was so tired! I don't even know what Snape is saying because I stayed up late researching. After classes, I went back to the common room and felt a sudden burst of energy. I decided to do my homework before it went away, and then continued my research. I was dozing off, and my eyes were closing after a bit. Harry came next to me and said "hey, are you ok?" I jumped since I didn't see him. "Yea, I'm fine," I said, "I just didn't get much sleep last night." Harry asked "did you go to the library again?" I didn't want him to know, but I nodded anyway. He sighed, held my hand, and said "you don't have to do that much research for me, Aria. I'll find a way to survive the task." I refused to agree, and said "Harry, you won't be able to breathe for an hour without something to help you." He then said "I'll find something." I sighed, and he ran his hand through my hair. I smiled, and he said "you're so beautiful." He leaned in and kissed me. I smiled, and he said "why don't you go upstairs and get some sleep? I'll look at the books." I sighed and nodded. I gave him a kiss before I left, and then went upstairs. As soon as I laid down on my bed, my eyes closed. I guess I didn't realize how tired I am!

Harry
I told Aria that I would research so she could go to sleep. She looked so tired! As I looked at the book, I realized why it was hard for Aria to find something. There's barely anything on breathing underwater! I tried to search, but after a bit I heard someone coming down the stairs. It was Aria, and she said "I'm not tired anymore." I smiled back, and she walked to me. She sat down in the chair next to me and said "it's hard right?" I nodded and said "too hard." She giggled, and then I held her hands. "I love you, Aria," I said. She said "I love you too, Harry," and smiled. We were starting to lean in, when Hermione said "you two are so cute!" We jumped away since she scared us, and she said "wait, why did you jump?" "You cared us, Hermione!" said Aria. She then said "I'll leave you two alone now." She walked away, and when Aria looked at me, I ran my hand through her hair. She smiled and then leaned in. I kissed her back, and after a bit we pulled away. I think the Yule Ball made our relationship stronger. After we shared our moment, we decided to get Ron and Hermione so we could continue searching through the books at the library. It started getting really late, and then Moody showed up and said "Granger, Wilson, Dumbledore would like to see you." Ron and I stood up too, but he said "just them two." I sat back down and Aria gave me a worried look. I mouthed 'be careful', and she nodded. They walked away, and Ron said "what did he call them for?" I shrugged and said "I don't know, but we should start cleaning up." He agreed, and we put all the books away. We found out what I'm using! I'll be using this thing called gillyweed, which should give me an hour under water. We went up to our dormitory and got ready for bed. When I laid down on my bed, my eyes could not close because I was worried about Aria. I asked "don't you think they should have been back by now?" Ron said "I don't know, mate. I'm worried about Hermione, too." Aha! Ron does like her! I asked "so you do like her, don't you?" I looked at Ron, and he tuned red as he answered "you won't tell her, will you?" I shook my head and said "your secret is safe with me." We then went to sleep. Or at least tried to. I couldn't sleep, so I decided to wait in the common room. After a few minutes, I fell asleep. I hope they're ok.

Aria
Dumbledore wanted to see us? We walked to his office, and he greeted us with "Granger. Wilson. I need to talk to you both." I felt a nervous chill run down my back, and we sat down. He said "you both will be needed in the second task. As you may know, the champions need to retrieve something they care about from the lake. Hermione, you'll be retrieved by Victor. Aria, Harry will have to retrieve you." I was worried, because we would have to be under water for an hour, too. Well at least be unconscious. I trust Harry, but what if the gillyweed fails? What will happen to me? Dumbledore told us to sneak into our common room and to meet him at 4:00am at the lake. When I snuck back in, I found Harry on the couch, asleep. Hermione went upstairs, and I stayed back looking at him. He's so cute! I decided to just walk upstairs, and then got dressed for bed. Will I be ok tomorrow?

Harry
I woke up this morning on the couch, and I was myself since I couldn't stay up to see if Aria came back. I had to get ready, so I did. When I went down for breakfast, Aron was there. I asked "hey, Ron, have you seen Aria?" He shook his head, and said "I haven't seen Hermione either." I sat down and put my face in my hands. "Harry, we'll find them," said Ron. I wasn't sure we would. Since I wasn't that hungry, I decided to walk t the lake. Neville met me there and said "Harry! I got you the gillyweed." I grabbed it from him and said "are you sure this will work?" He nodded, and then I walked to the platform. Everyone was there, and I decided to look for Aria in the crowd. When I didn't see her, I got really sad and worried. Where is she? Dumbledore announced that he was going to give the countdown now, so I chewed on the gillyweed and swallowed it. It tastes terrible! Moody pushed me in when Dumbledore said "begin!" I looked at my hands, and they had webbing in esteem my fingers, and my feet were flippers. Woah! I then started swimming towards the bottom of the lake. At a certain point, I heard singing, and followed it. It sounds just like the egg under water. When I saw where it was coming from, there were merpeople there, and I saw Aria being protected by them. I rushed to get her, but then also saw Hermione. Victor Krum then came down and took her. I swam to her, cupped her face with my hands. Who did this to her? I thought don't worry. I'm going to get you out of here. I cut the rope holding her down, and then realized there was one more little girl. I tried cutting her rope, but the merpeople said "only one!" They then became distracted by something else and swam away. I quickly cut her rope and then swam to the top with both of them. I felt the gillyweed wearing off, so I said "Ascendio!" I then rose up to the surface and landed on the platform. Before anyone could congratulate me, I jumped back in the lake to carry Aria out. When I laid her on the platform, she wouldn't wake up. The little girl turned out to be Fleur's sister. Aria hadn't woken up, and I had started shaking her gently, calling "Aria? Aria, please!" They told me to take her to the hospital wing, so I picked her up and ran to Hogwarts. They followed me, and Madame Pomfrey said "what happened to her, Harry?" I tried to talk slow, but all that came out was "Ariadidntwakeupfromthesecondtaskandeveryoneelsedid!" She said "woah, slow down!" I them slowly repeated "Aria didn't wake up. From the second task." She now looked concerned, and I laid her down on one bed. Madame Pomfrey treated her, and said "I don't know when she'll wake up, but she will. I can promise you that." I felt my eyes start watering, and I sat down next to Aria. I held her hand and kissed it. Come on, Aria, I whispered, wake up for me. Don't leave me alone!

Aria
I haven't woken up yet! It's been way to long. Am I going to wake up? After what seems like a day, I woke up slowly. Harry was the first person I saw, and he said "Aria! Thank goodness!" I slowly sat up, and Harry hugged me tight. "I thought you weren't going to wake up." I hugged him back and felt Harry's tears on my shirt. He was making me cry! When he pulled away to look at me, he kissed me passionately. I kissed him back, and we stayed like that for a few seconds. I then pulled away and said "what happened?" He explained that I had not woken up when he pulled me from the lake, and he was worried when everyone else did. I hugged him, and then Madame Pomfrey said I was good to go. We walked back to the common room, and went up to our dormitories. When we got to the staircases, I started going up mine when Harry called my name. I turned around, and walked back down. Harry pulled me in for a hug, and I hugged him back. I felt so safe with his arms wrapped around me, like if they were protecting me from evil. After, we went to bed. I'm slowly getting more worried for Harry. I guess we'll both see what happens.
