Prologue

Have you ever had a crush? One that would set your heart on fire, always make your head turn that other direction, or anything, well you just might be crushing. Ever had one that lasted for more than a year? Well then, that would be me. I liked this certain boy ever since I was a freshman. He's in my school and in my neighborhood, and he still doesn't even know my name.

Maybe it's because I'm not pretty enough through his eyes-my white complexion, big brown eyes, high bridge nose, natural pink lips, and thick wavy brown hair. People say that I'm pretty. Maybe it's just how tall I am-about 5'6 inches tall. It must be the attitude. The word "badass" always comes to my mind when it comes to be. I'm smart, cool, sassy, and the list is endless. I'm not your amiable, friendly, perky, little girl who sits in your every day class.

My best friend, Faye, is the only friend I can truly trust. I mean, trust issues are a bit of a problem for me. I have reasons where I can't have faith. Everyone else is considered a filler. They talk to me, laugh with me, but who knows what they're going to do. There's always that doubt that I couldn't put away. But Faye, she is the only person who knows I have a crush on Brandon Reeves, aka the school's so called "Anti-Woman."

Perhaps that's the reason why he doesn't know me at all. Brandon doesn't bother with any girl. He probably calls them all whores, from the way they are begging for any kind of interaction. He's a well-known jock, a major hottie. I can't understand. There are so many girls in this school. The last time I checked, most guys would be pleased to have some interaction towards a girl, or even rebel against their parents if they aren't allowed to.

Brandon has this tan (or say sun-kissed skin), thick black hair, kissable pink lips, those cheekbones, and a pair of shimmering hazel orbs that could send me to a hospital that is so many miles away. I could see him stare at me while I'm falling. His gaze set on my face, probably in panic, but they would still be on me. I just have to say, thank goodness he's funny, cool, and playful. I don't think a person would want a cocky, jerky, irresponsible jock that I happen to see around a lot.

Most of the female population wondered why he is the "Anti-Woman." Every single time a girl walks up and asks him if they can have a one night stand or be his girlfriend, he replies with an incredulous no. No wonder why he doesn't like girls. I mean, look at them. It's unbelievable.

I should wait for the guy, but yet, get his eyes to turn on me. I won't do what every other girl would do.

Every night, I wonder if I can win him. One day I will.

So, clearly, I'm quite delusional.
